With what we're hearing on DX12, like the massive performance gains, ease of development across platforms, being able to use differing architecture gpu's in the same system and near movie like visuals. It's clear to see DX12 is some seriously amazing new tech. And will be a game changer to all Windows 10 based devices, X1 included.
That's very much an oversimplification of DX12. Any game built for DX12 will see huge gains in all aspects not just cpu heavy code. As we have been hearing for a while now, with DX12 the CPU is able to use all it's cores to feed the gpu greatly improving performance in graphics as well as compute.
Woe hold up! What think you can make perfect sense and get away with it... I'm going to disagree the shit out of your comment.
You make some good points and I would love to see fallout release soon after E3 I just don't see it happening though. I just think we would have heard or seen allot more of the game by now. Also I feel being on current gen means it could be much bigger in scope needing more time.
Huge Bethesda fan, Fallout and Elder Scrolls are two of my favourite franchise. I have high hopes Fallout 4, good news also that 100% of their focus is on current gen. I'm also interested to know what engine their using hope it's either a complete rebuild of their "Creation" engine or possibly UE4.
Yeah totally agree, I think this could be a huge new franchise for Microsoft and will sell systems. It may even get some PlayStation fans to buy an X1. They seem to really dig the "huge creature companion" thing. Case in point The Last Guardian. Can't wait to get some good info on this game next week, fingers crossed.
Wow I didn't expect that, DX12 continues to impress this is clearly some amazing tech.
Sit tight, the real next gen console will be revealed in around a week from now.
It's pretty obvious that this is nothing more than a under optimized port. But why not run the game at 800 or 900p and hit 60fps, it's going to be up scaled anyway, give me a silky smooth frame rate any day.
Multiple Rare projects! Oh shit that awesome news, it's great being an Xbox fan.
Make a few small changes to your post like "MS" to Sony, "Kinect" to great games and "cloud" to most powerful console. And ill be in complete agreement.
Wow still with the res argument ha, so what will you have to say when games are using DX12 on X1, and are far superior in every way. You guys need to let the PS4 powerful advantage thing go it's only going to cause you pain going forward.
If I were a PlayStation fan my biggest concern would not be processing power but the quality of software, I would be demanding Sony deliver what they promised. Where's the greatness Sony.
I want gameplay of all the game's that were announced at last years E3, also I'm really interested in the rumoured Lion Head sifi game so I hope we hear something about that.
What? GB are one of the most unbiased and respected gaming sites out there. Quit the damaged control man and just accept the epic fail that is the order.
Ryse was a rushed launch title and still had a better campaign and multiplayer. This game launches after years of development delays and downgrades. There is no excuse for this and on comparison to RYSE. Nice try though, but you better find something else to defect away from the epic fail that is the order.
Oh shit... I didn't expect this game to review well, having said that a 6.5 from IGN that's surprising. I'm glad their not giving this game a free ride though, for a full price game it's seriously lacking in content. Hopefully we don't see to much more of this in the future.

"This game looks amazing"... It sure dose, the level of detail in some of those shots are incredible. I can't remember seeing a game were the emotion on the faces of the characters is so believable. On top of that I'm loving what the developers are saying about the game. No question day one for me.
Yeah totally agree, however l just can't see third-party taking full advantage of dx12 it would mean to much of a disparity until Sony's api catches up... If it does that is.
I think Microsoft are doing all they can though. With win10 cross platform development will be super easy, and the fact if you use win 7 or higher you get win 10 upgrade for free, this will mean there's a huge potential customer base for win10/DX12 games.
I'm putting this straight in the cautiously optimistic basket. When this game was announced I was more interested in it than any Star Wars game since KOTOR. Great to hear the game could be still be alive, and I just hope we don't have to wait to long for an announcement.
