They're really trying to make this a hot property arent they. This kind of seems like a forced genre push, they have the movie, the comic book. For a mediocre game it really has a lot of stuff coming out of it.
They probably want people to stop saying their graphics suck. If the devs have an extra year to work on the game then they can spend a bit more time doing engine stuff.
There definitely won't be an entirely new engine but there will most likely be a lot of changes to the one they are using. Still could do with an across the board engine update though. the e-blue mice are excellent. Even the wireless one is good, but the wired is definitely an excellent mouse at a good price.

I think the wii u is pretty much stuck with the path it was launched on. Nintendo tried to make it all the things and didn't push it to excel in any one area. They kinda made it family friendly like the wii, but didn't go as far in that direction as the wii. They kinda made it online like the other consoles but didn't go as far as the other consoles. See the thing about increasing the size of a studio and having them work on multiple projects is that in the end its different teams with the same name. They just don't start a new studio so that they can keep the brand recognition of an already successful one. Having the same name gives you the impression that the same people that made whatever great game will be working on it. Say leave the indiana jones theme behind and switch to something else, horror, or have it in some war torn country or something. Both would fit into the universe. Say with the horror they could put it in like a deep cave system where drake is searching for some relic or tomb or something... but theres some sort of paranormal monster of some sort. I said it peaked because uncharted 3 was not as good as uncharted 2. 3s story was all over the place and had unnecessary parts thrown in just to extend it. The whole game was kind of by the numbers.
Really? let them make new games. They've already shown they can do better than uncharted with TLOU. They should move on and keep putting out excellent content. Instead of milking a franchise thats arguably peaked.

You missed the part where the controller trackpad has a bunch of fundamental differences from a laptop trackpad. Ridges, texture, vibration, resolution etc.

Seems like most people here didnt bother to watch this video or learn much about the controller. Your all whining about laptop track pads and stuff but if you watch any of the videos on the controller you'll quickly learn that these are much more usable. They're textured and ridged, the super advanced rumble system under each pad adds another layer of texture. nintendo hasnt been giving any deals on the 3dsxl all year its kind of crazy. Even with the bundles you save like a dollar over buying the console and game separately. I've been waiting on either an ok deal or an interesting colour or special edition to come out. So far I've bought nothing.
Yeah thats junk. They're on a usb, the most they would need is a driver update. Most should be plug and play, you can take a usb wheel, or joystic for pc from like 10+ years ago and it'll still work. There's no reason besides greed for them not to work on the xboxone
@Bigpappy success =/= quality. Most people that play games should be more interested in the quality of those games than the success of those games. The two things aren't mutually exclusive but one does not equal the other.
@UnRivaLeD What planet are you on man? Pc sales have been at parity with console sales for a few years now. Most sales stats don't show that however because they only count boxed copies sold. While most pc games are sold digital, and those numbers are a fair bit harder to find.
I could almost see them doing steam os and consoles only. It would be a huge gamble though but I think it would probably work if they made installing steam os fool proof enough. A lot of people wouldn't just not play halflife 3, they'd jump through whatever hoops they had to.
If they do HL3 L4D3 and Portal 3 on it they'll probably have most pc gamers switched over.
That way of doing things is holding 'gaming' back as a form of entertainment. It's not just about fun anymore its about telling a story the best way possible. Yes the gameplay must be good but if its half story based the story must be just as good.
I would really like to see games that start optionally utilizing my second monitor. If I could have a map, or inventory on it or something that would be great for a lot of games.
