F___ you and your couch.
You must not know much about France's history, which had A LOT of involvement with the Knights Templar. Including when the king got them not only to disband, but branded as satanists and heretics (as you know, two of the gravest offenses in those times). Do a little research, it has a lot more potential than you might think.
I was of the same mindset as you until I started actually digging into France's history.
I think it might be interesting to see a game where the Assassins are on the offensive and aided in the sacking of many Templar bases and arrests/tortures back centuries ago that lead to, in real life, the disbanding of the Knights Templar and would explain why the word "Templar" is often spoken in privacy in games with settings in later times.
Maybe we play as a Templar instead of an Assassin in this story, all the way through this time just to mix it up a bit.
So, as an example, if you chose to flank an enemy force rather than going head-one which means going through one corridor to get to the other side of the corridor you were in? Just trying to make sure I get what you're saying lol.
The "gay agenda" isn't to make everyone gay, it is to attain equal rights. Homosexuality does not go against the laws of nature; if it did, then there wouldn't be over 1500 other species on the planet documented to have homosexual individuals. If it exists, it is not against the laws of nature.
Even if your fear were justifiable and true, the human race would not come to an end. Wouldn't you think homosexuals would take advantage of artificial inseminati...
TL;DR
What the fuck happened to civil, intelligent discourse!?
Long version-
Yep. While people should be respectful towards one another, people should not have to actively avoid offending someone. All it does is make those easily offended more and more easily offended because they're not used to even civil, constructive criticism.
Everyone has the right to speak their mind and, while they have no right to intentionally attack or offend, ...
Moderation and maturity are the keys, basically.
Nobody said anything about it being used as a crutch. A story can still be very well-written and solid while being controversial. Controversial writing and incompetent writing are not mutually exclusive.
We do have a lot, but they are still relatively rare to see in comparison to their male counterparts. Which is why I feel more games, when possible, should give the option between male or female. I feel it should only depend on the story they want to tell. Nobody can really justify it with "the market isn't there" since there are female gamers out there and a large number, if not most, guys wouldn't be adverse to playing games like the recent Tomb Raider reboot.
Gotta ask, how is a guy playing a female character in a game that gives the the option which sex to play as automatically a 'beta male'? I know several guys who play females when games give the option simply due to the fact that there aren't many strong female protagonists, making it more refreshing. Of course, the guys I'm referring to aren't the ones trying to make them look like strippers like a lot of guys on MMORPGs.
When they say "the face of gaming", they mean that one game everyone thinks of when it comes to video games. Maybe the face of the genre would make more sense, due to the fact that you get a ton of games that are good enough and famous enough to fit that "face of gaming" title.
I would support it if they did one thing: didn't make the Assassin's or the main character directly involved with several historical events. It was something I had an issue with in AC3 (haven't yet played AC4); why was Conner directly involved with the fire in NYC, Bunker Hill, and just about every other major event in the war? At least in AC2 and Brotherhood, it was maybe two or three major historical events at most.
By this logic, I should have gotten Skyrim and Forza 4 for free because I bought my 360 a few years before the 360/Skyrim/Forza 4 bundle was released. You're not owed anything and it isn't a slap in the face, it is self-entitlement.
Considering GTA has always had a PC release, I whole-heartedly believe that those complaining about the lack of a PC version had anything valid to support their complaints. Rockstar has very few games that weren't on PC.
I think one of the reasons new Dante is worse is due to the fact that old Dante wasn't just some arrogant little prick that tried too hard to look tough or bad-ass. Old Dante was cocky while new Dante was arrogant, as well as the fact that new Dante is self-absorbed while old Dante was not.
What I was thinking is for Scarecrow, Hush, and a very formidable Harley Quinn team up to kill Batman. Batman is the only person to have ever overcome Scarecrow's toxin, so he has always been obsessed with getting Batman to succumb to fear. Hush hates Bruce Wayne and Batman both with a passion, as does Harley due to what happened to Joker at the end of City. If Harley learned from Joker, she can be extremely formidable from a psychological standpoint.
The other thing has ...
What developers need to do is stop making their characters in such a way that it is clear they're pandering and forcing the issue. What's so bad about having a badass character that happens to be gay as the main character? Nothing whatsoever. The problem is when developers make it seem like being gay is the focal point of their character, even when it clearly isn't.
I don't quite see how you got that out of his comment. Each console's terms of service explicitly state that the games you download do not belong to you, that you're essentially borrowing the right to play it. So the only actual means of true ownership is if you buy the physical disc, and even then the terms say that doesn't even count.
Sounds like your father doesn't know what he's talking about. What you wear doesn't determine whether or not you should be disliked, your general attitude does. Only an idiot would base their opinion on a hat.
I find Angry Joe, while he can be hit-or-miss at times with his skits and comedy, he has always had valid points. I've played most of the game he's reviewed and his reviews are fairly spot-on.
