Sorry guys, super late at night when I wrote this one. Amended.
Not sure what you mean by a second time? If there was another website comparing the two games, that's not our problem. We posted this on the site days ago.
Why is this a stupid question? I couldn't think of two more similarly themed games.
It's been a generation of record-breaking, really. So many AAA productions have either recorded the fast-selling or best-selling games in their franchise in the past few years.
I agree somewhat. I regretted doing every side quest in the game as they came to me because I lost the pacing of the story a bit.
Both are definitely worth playing, but unless you've never played any of the TR games, go for Spidey.
I haven't played the mode so I can't really weigh in here, but I was surprised to read about how bland you felt it was. From what I've seen, it looks engaging. Whether or not it could topple Fortnite or even last in the long term remains to be seen. I'm willing to give it a shot, but I am in the mood for a military-sim.
The definition of clickbait is sensationalizing a title that doesn't match the content for the purposes of having people click-into the site. That is not what this is and that is not what Twinfinite does.
I'm calling you out for not allowing authors to write their own opinion and add some nuance to the conversation. I get it, you love Spider-Man and you don't want bad words said against it. I call that juvenile, but I have high standards.
I'm confused, isn't that what you're doing though? I just said it's ok to talk about a game being fun, beautiful, interesting but very familiar without fanboys jumping down their throat saying it's for clicks.
You're literally guilty of what you're accusing me of doing, despite the fact that I didn't do that. I think abusing a site for clickbaiting (when it's the complete opposite of clickbait - topic stated in title) because you don'...
Look, it's fine to not agree with the opinion but don't start that crap, lol.
I'm enjoying Spider-Man but there's no question it's a generic design. Fun, beautiful, and an intereting story, but very familiar --and it's ok to talk about that.
It's a haven for indies atm but I do wonder how long before the eshop gets flooded and new game discovery is muddied. that said, the hybrid function of the Switch makes it perfect for shorter experiences, or ones that you wouldn't necessarily want to sit down on the couch and play instead of AAA titles.
While I didn't love the Observer's performance (bugs ruined my review), that game completely nails the Cyberpunk aesthetic.
Superhero games are all about traversal, and both those games nail that aspect. I'd have to say Spider-Man probably outdoes infamous, but to anybody that's enjoying Spider-Man and hasn't played Second Son, you should definitely go and do that.
Did ya read it man or did you just see a headline you didn't like and comment? And it's "Could" not "Does."
One might argue because if it doesn't, we're just playing the same games we've always played but reskinned and rejazzed in a prettier package. Sometimes that gets a bit tedious. Like, say, Assassin's Creed did (and actually looks to be doing again).
Great review. I've been pleasantly surprised by just how good Spider-Man is.
Good write-up. Nintendo's embrace of darker themes in some of its more recent games has definitely piqued my interest.
What other games have done this before, in your opinion?
Still its best game, imo.
Couldn't agree more, though I do think modern AAA games should always aim to have a bigger scope than what we've seen in the past. The problem is when they're marketed as huge and designed as a massive sandbox but are void of any meaningful content.
It would be a travesty if it came without MGS & Symphony of the Night, for sure.
