Analysts' statements typically follow industry reports they're writing based on dozens of interviews, surveys, and predictions made by retailers and other members of the ecosystem they've spoken with.
Just so you understand the process. They don't just say things to be trolls.
I remember the initial Days Gone reveal being hugely impressive but also slightly janky. It doesn't come as a huge surprise that the final product isn't all that far off.
LOL. How's that tin hat fit?
Have you ever considered that might be because those people had been excited about Days Gone for months, possibly years, and just $60 on the game? Do you think might be influencing their opinion just a tiny wincy bit? Then throw in fanboyism and everything else...
Nobody said it was a review dumb dumb.
The side of the game journo industry you're alluding to I absolutely despise, so think again.
The fact that this got 4 down votes is also hilarious. People are so tribal man.
I write an article after beating the game and spending 40 hours with it; you play it for 10 minutes and declare it "great so far", so people should listen to your opinion and through mine out the window.
Seems legit.
Dude. No. I hate the term woke and I typically always choose a male character if I have the option. Stop assuming.
I mean the getup is corny and turns me off, but like I said in the article, it's the fact that he's not one thing or the other that makes him so unrealistic and silly.
I'll play a Daryl from the Walking Dead-type anti hero, for sure, but only if the story works hard to make me own being this gritty, rough, and violent man. Days Gone doesn't do that. It just says, oh, you're one of these one-percenter biker guys with all the biker nostalgia who "riii...
A biker thug is not a relatable character, though. He could be if the story was super compelling, but it isn't.
Deacon isn't even a thug anyway, he's this corny gentleman; tattoos, rings, a backward capp but a sweet heart with mild manners.
He's nonsensical! That's the point.
Give me an edgy violent story with an edgy violent protagonist, or give me something totally different. Dont give me this fantasy biker caricat...
There is intelligence on n4g! Thank you, my friend.
I do have opinions. You can read them here: www.twinfinite.net
Today on n4g: wannabe games journalist working for a blog site accuses other bloggers of lazy journalism for clicks, winning over a moronic pool of 50 or so readers who shower it with praises of "great article" because it agrees with their opinion. Urgh.
The market pie is only so big.
What's the big deal with deleting a game?
I played Bloodstained at EGX Rezzed and found it to be enjoyable but nothing special. I also found movement a bit sluggish.
Weird that you think sales equate to a good game, lol. I think that's a reflection perhaps of how out of touch you are :P
It's an open world zombie game with glossy graphics published by Sony... it was always likely to sell very well.
