Darn, why can't we have Borderlands 2 on the 3DS instead.
In some ways it matters but the failings of Gamecube and Virtual Boy haven't affected the company's earnings in the long run. It's just a down peak in a rollercoaster

The 3DS is selling like hot cakes and they are raking in the money. They aren't about to go the SEGA route.
Rather than making the console cheaper and losing money they should instead focus on making eShop releases cheaper. If they were £10 cheaper more people would buy them
I enjoyed Metroid Prime Trilogy and the Call of Duty franchise on Wii. The way to aim your weapons was clever and mimicked the classic light-gun games. It's a crying shame that titles such as Battlefield and Timesplitters never saw the light of day on Wii/Wii U technology. Black Ops 2 and Ghosts prove the Wii U is capable now.
In TV Tropes terms it's the "conservation of ninjutsu". Basically the more characters you have, the less threatening the enemies become.
In a way it's natural that horror becomes less scary when you have more choices, more weapons, better knowledge of the enemy. The key to good horror is knowing what terrifies players and triggering that at the appropriate time.
StarFox 64 3DS is such a great game. Love Pokemon Y too
Gearbox should be ashamed of what little they did for Colonial Marines. Hope this game gets the development time it needs to be great.
2-4 player RTS games are still exciting despite the low player count. Mario Kart DS/7 and Assassin's Creed only have 8 players but they're still extremely exciting
Wii U has more high-quality exclusives than the Vita. The 3DS blows the Vita out of the water.

Not bothered, Wii U's supporters love it and the 3DS is selling like hot cakes, unlike some 8th Gen consoles :P

There's no reason subscription, free and freemium models couldn't all work with the right framework. It just takes some adjustments.

The Wii U has seen some of the best ever Nintendo releases. It's definitely worth buying.
