By doing another Twilight Princess they'll never accomplish it.
For me TP was one of the biggest dissapointments I have ever experienced from a Nintendo game ever (just because I was so overly hyped by it).
Having an orquestrated soundtrack and voice acting (Link can stay mute), as opposed to outdated boring midi music and voiceless characters, would be a good place to start.
Also, make the game challenging for pete's sake! I hate when a big boulder crushed me ...
Unless you've done your very own marketing researchs, complete with focus groups and data analysisng with vast understandings of statistics and the use of SPSS, you have NO idea if this decision will help OR hurt the game's sales and thats a fact.
For you and many of fans I am sure dont like it and is giving ZERO POSITIVE impact on the game. But how can you be so sure about the rest of the public?
Thats right, you dont. Nobody here does.
What else is new?
It better be selling that much more, after all Microsoft has been advertising the game left and right like it was an exclusive, with bundles and all.
THIS is the problem with friggin' 0.1 point scales! 9.3? 9.4? 8.9? Stop it now. The problem here is we're not complaining over a 0.2 score difference, were complaining about why they didnt whined with MW2 about the same stuff they did about Uncharted 2 (linear gameplay, lack of originality, etc) or even Uncharted 1 (short campaign, which in fact is even shorter than Unch1's!).
Videogame quality is already a problem trying to measure it at a metric scale, but trying to do it by a ...
I agree on Zelda, Halo and CoDs not bringing anything new to the table and consistently getting high reviews.
What I have to respectfully (and strongy) disagree with you is Mario's case, which have been very original and even revolutionary over the years (Im talking main Mario games only).
Super Mario Galaxy was the most original, inventive, fun, and plain awesome platform game I had ever played. And this is coming from a guy who up until 2007 thought Super Mario Bros 3 (N...
after reading this article it just hit me.
There hasnt been a single DoA game in a console other than Microsoft's since the PS2's launch in 2000 with DoA2: Hardcore.
What
the
****
unbelivable.
Dont you just hate article titles that end with a question mark?
Ugh.
And back on topic, I'd say it definetly isn't. Its big ***** big, but not that big.
what an annoying host.
I find it sad that neither Star Fox or Metroid are popular in Japan.
Apparently it doesnt have enough moe-schoolgirl-pantsu material...
I love Japan and its games but sometimes japanese gamers want me to bang my head on a wall.
Goldeneye 007 was great and all, but seriously, PD was better than G007 in every concivable way. Campaign, graphics, story, and most of all: multiplayer.
I dont have a 360 and Im willing to pay my friend who does for him to buy this game. I've never spent so many nights hanging around 3 friends playing a videogame, drunk or sober, as I did playing PD.
But one thing, though: what the HELL happened with Elvis? He was a tiny, kinda cute even, little alien thing. Now he's creppy and ugly.
wtf!
WHAT? some faceless, mute scientist who happens to be born expert in weapons and happens to carry on an otherwise excelent game(s) on his shoulders is the greatest game hero of all time?
Over Mario?
Over Snake?
Over Link?
Over Cloud?
the list goes on....
there are early PS2 games that look better than this supposed-to-be--more-powerful- than-Xbox1-system-called Wii.
This will never happen for one obvious thing: Storage.
Saturn's games came on CDs. CD games were upwards to 650MBs in size. Of course many are much smaller but they still take a heavy toll on the Wii's measly 250MBs of internal flash memory. It even takes a toll on those 2GB SD cards.
Just look at some downlodable PS1 games from the PSN. Any given game can weight 300MBs while the big mammoths like MGS1 and FFVII weight for a whopping 800mb and 1.3GBs respectively.

Im calling right now ND's next two projects:
Uncharted 3: The quest for Atlantis
Uncharted Kartz
this stuff develops itself.
They still failed to explain why then Halo 3 deserved a 9.8 (which was FAR from original), why the game with the "best graphics ever" did not get a 10 in Presentation, and why the **** did their review was so full of spoilers!
/sigh
I take it you didn't took a second of your time to explore the options did you?
You can, in both NGSigma games, invert everything: Y axis camera, X axis camera and *drumroll* underwater swimming.
Why the default swimming controls are the way they were instead of making the game control like, say, Mario in SM64 (where you push up the stick to dive deeper) is beyond me.
What? That Metroid water level was actually pretty cool! Especially the music.
So unexpected.
+1 internet for you (aka bubble).
I aggree 100%
TP was for me the most hyped I had ever been for a single game since Super Mario 64 but, unlike SM64, TP was a big letdown.
The Zelda formula finally started to seem stale in my head, something I wouldnt dare to think about before, the game was easy as pie and predictable and I couldnt believe my ears they used midi for the soundtrack. It was almost like the music from TP could've been reproduced on an N64.
Hopefully Nintendo can deliver ne...
