Totally agree with you. I'm jus as much tired of seeing Marcus Fenixes in western games as I am of watching Neir Replicant's main character type.
Also, there is a middle ground. He's called Nathan Drake and he's the man! Play Uncharted 2 now if you havent yet.
Its not that we absolutely positively need a big burly grunting MACHO character for it to work. Look at Nathan Drake or Gordon Freeman which, for me, do NOT fit the bill of MACHO.
One thing is "it has got to be macho" and the other is "this is a girl thats actually a guy" type of situation that we have low tolerance for and I'll admit Im one of these that think that. I always hated Symphony of the Night's Richter and Alucard's incredibly girly ...
X7 and X8 are a complete disaster and I wish Ccapcom could out-canon them.
Also, X5 and X6 were mediocre at best (X5 was by far worse even). The only truly GREAT Megaman X game for me is X1 and maybe X4.
With that said I'd prefer a Megaman X9 with SNES graphics and music over a PS1 look easily.
how about a better ending? Not that I care much about MM's storyline but MM10's ending was just ridiculous: Some dialogue with Wily, black screen and then ONE still image with no characters at all? That's one thing MM9 definetly got better than 10.

Its true that no one chooses where to be born but Im sorry to say it IS the country's fault they let this man get so much control. They elected him, they followed him, etc. You get the idea.

When it comes to multiplatform games I'll be the first to acknowledge that of every 10 games 5 look identical, 4 look marginally better on 360 and 1 marginally better on PS3. Sometimes just not that marginal.
Final Fantasy XIII looks better in every way imaginable on PS3. There's no point of debate.

Good to mediocre reviews for DI. Not a bad game but they drove me off with an overuse of grotesque imagery (female demons with large spiky penises, defecating fat slobs, etc) and complete bastardization of the source material. Worthy of a 2nd level tier action game leaving 1st tier only to the likes of God of War, Bayonetta and maybe Ninja Gaiden.
Big big potential wasted here.

Megaman 9 (on PS360), Shadow Complex, Bionic Commando, Rocket Knight Adventures, Contra/Castlevania Rebirth tell me otherwise.
I dont know what they are waiting for. Shadow Complex showed there IS a market for these kinds of games as downlodable games. MAKE A 2.5D Castlevania game in HD NOW. Its easy money damn it!

My personal Game of the Year for 2010 and best Castlevania game I have ever played. Yes, even better than every Metroidvania out there.
It helps that I always thought that, while the post-SOTN Metroidvanias were excellent, the more linear CVs like Super Castlevania IV were the best games in the series and since LoS plays a lot more like SCV4 rather than Symphony made it easier for me.
