You're joking right? When they announced FF13 in E3 2006 they showed it with a full fledged trailer complete with a brief scene of actual gameplay complete with HUD and all. Believe me, FF13 was already underway when they first announced it!
Square Enix' innefficiency this generation is downright ridiculous. A DS game taking so long when it has virtually no story and N64 graphics (albeit an online mode)?
Just sit down guys and take this information in while trying to realize how lousy and stupid it sounds: By the time Final Fantasy XIII hits store shelves in Japan in Q4 2009 (if all goes well) it would've lasted in production equal or more time than the whole original Xbox' healthy life (Nov 2001-Nov 2005).

Oh c'mon, the pig from V.C. really? I know what you mean bu the "cute sidekick" but the pig is only there for a couple of cutscenes and never comes back for you to see it. Not even on the ending. While I did found it kinda stupid and unnecesary it wasnt there nearly enough for me to find annoying.

I feared that the dialogue was as bad acted and foul mouthed as the trailers showed it. Oh well, I guess I can live with that. Just, Guerilla, next time remember how one "fu**" in Metal Gear 4 was delivered with a much more punch due to incredible voice acting and near lack of swearing. Instead when you have a game full of swearing its difficult to deliver an insult with as much power as Laughing Octopus brought it when she said the only F word in the game.

Im hoping those chracters in KZ2 are actually likable and not just random "badass" macho soldiers that just curse a lot. Already the designs look ugly and too angry (I know, it's war!) but I want to care and laugh with them. Not loath them... they'll be my companions during the 10 hour campaign!

Thats true. But please explain how come SO4 and Last Remnant got releases from mere weeks on a month from one another (JP and USA)??? If Square can manage near simultaneous worldwide releases for big RPGs for the 360 they CAN do it for FF13. This big delay (remember is AT LEAST april 2010) is Microsoft's greedy fault.
totally agree, dude. Hypocrisy is what I can't tolerate. Why can MS get timed exclusives and Sony not even one game so far? So when the only game from Square announced for PS3 is going to be released it not only goes multiplatform but also a simultaneous release! Why can't we have the same on SO4 and LR? If ever, my money would've been on Nintendo making the next Zelda the most hardcore 3D Zelda game ever. With all the backlash from longtime fans and the tons of money they are already making on endless casual games on both Wii and DS I would've guessed Nintendo bringing one of their most hardcore franchises to the real hardcore level.

Ive been a loyal EGM consumer since the dawn of the PS2. Perhaps what I will sincerely miss the most is my monthly poop reading material and Seanbaby's hilarious column. I remember my stomach hurting from the oh so many laughs Seanbaby caused me while reading his Top 2' worst games of all time in EGM issue #150 back in 2002 (I think).
