It is the same at my local Gamestop. Enter the door and there is a pile of X1 boxes on the left with a prominent display right there. There's a display on the window, with only a tiny PS4 blue display near it. Games are subtly placed as well, with all X1 and 360 games facing the store front as you walk through. You have to go all the way to the back to get to the PS section and the first PS displays.
Well, I have 50mbs internet and 64-player PS4 is GREAT for me. There have been a few lags here and there, nothing major. Overall it's a beautiful experience.
Rhetoric aside, are there any solid numbers on failure rates and these sorts of issues yet? Because a couple of people experiencing odd problems is meaningless.
@Ittoryu
I saved my last bubble for just this sort of attack. Thanks for not disappointing me.
1. I don't watch Fox News, or any other mainstream news outlet. I study economics, sociology, philosophy, political theory, and history. I draw my points from that study.
2. The deregulation story is inadequate for one primary reason: though some regulations were removed or not enforced, others were added.
3. The causes of the...
I'll kickstart this game to the moon and back.
1. I said a free market. The poorly regulated banking sector you refer to was, as you say, regulated. Hence, your counter is invalid.
2. In absolutely no sense does America, or any other developed country, have a free market banking sector. The banking sector is run by a syndicate of banking corporations, organized under the auspices of the Federal Reserve, which trades in fiat currency admitting no limits. Here is a simple introduction to the modern banking system:
No. Insurance is BS because government regulates it. In a free market they'd have to compete, and pulling this kind of stunt would lose them customers instantly. Customers would drop this sort of company and switch to an alternative with a better track record. Companies don't survive in a free market if they don't provide for their customers. The moment government starts to regulate, company lawyers craft the wording of contracts and regulations in such a way that the company can ...
It is?
This guy is a legend. Hit me with it, Itagaki-san!
I've been learning Japanese, and by God I could read that script at the beginning of the trailer! Small beginnings perhaps, but it feels good! :D
Also, game looks pretty good! Looking forward to it!
@Rhaigun. You clearly don't understand the notion of an economy of services.
What constitutes a real or day job? Laboring? Producing? Investing capital? Working 9-5? Having a "career"?
Providing a service, of whatever sort, has just as much intrinsic economic value as any other form of laboring. This service can be psychiatry, teaching, customer support...or reviewing, among others. Reviewers provide a service - the activity involves a creation...
Whether reviewers get free copies of games is a business decision to be made between the publisher and the reviewers. If Creative Assembly doesn't want to distribute free copies, they are merely making a business decision. That the industry has moved toward distributing free copies is a consensus arrived at on the basis of economic calculation. It serves the interest of the companies to distribute free copies, facilitating increased sales and thus a greater overall return, and it serves t...
Giving it a shot :D
Well I guess it wouldn't hurt to try ;-)
Add me: Aleithian.
There is no spoon.
The only sure thing is that the next generation of consoles will be very different than the current (PS4/X1) generation. I expect a significant integration of console and mobile gaming this gen. Sony is leading the way with Remote Play and Gaikai, but MS is sure to make its move. 10 years from now, gaming will be very different.
Amen to that.
It's going to be hard to get one for awhile yet. With the Japanese release approaching, many of those wishing for a PS4 in the West will be disappointed. You can bet Sony will have millions held back for Day 1 in Japan. They're going to have a nationwide party over there.
So many PS4 players reporting problems still. I play on PS4 and it's flawless now. Pretty much been that way since about the start of December. I get the tiniest amount of lag from time to time, but it isn't a big deal.
