While I'm glad Sony is on board, at the same time it shows just how bad things are at DICE/EA. Never getting an EA or DICE game on Day 1 again.
That was a great game.
Agreed! That just "WOW!"'d me. MY ambition is to have learned enough Japanese by release that I can play this in Japanese! :) (Assuming the Western release is later than the Japanese release...)
@InTheLab
Another important fact regarding the sales numbers you quote: not only did Sony tie MS for numbers in only 7 years of sales (at higher price), but the MS sales were buoyed by not insignificant failure rates, requiring millions of additional purchases.
Hence, while *economically* the sales were identical, we cannot but conclude that PS3 was the more popular console.
My next tv will be a Sony for sure.
I'm glad I upgraded to Fios Quantum :)
Leave politics at the door.
(/s for those who need the clarification)
Parents: You can use Minecraft as a teaching opportunity. Have your kids try to build different types of building for example, such as Greek temples, traditional Chinese buildings and so forth. It's a great way to get them interested in history.
This article is a great concept, and does very well exploring this game. Stories are character-driven, and while novels, films, and traditional RPGs largely craft the characters and subsequent plot for the consumer to merely enjoy, XCOM gives just enough circumstantial character information (capabilities, name, race, gender, and the like) to frame the player's own creation. XCOM isn't just a gaming experience - it's a creative experience.
Guess I'll be enjoying a little BF4 on PS4 tonight then :)
Surprised? Best to ignore such people.
How about you just make the game and leave the reasons-for-buying-it to the consumers?
Certainly looks that way...
Haha. I was just going to say that. Geez, all they have to do is move their stuff off the first (ground) floor.
Haha! Bubble for the beautiful response.
Might be FF VIII. Within the circle there is clearly a woman. Might be a guy on the left, which would recreate the famous hugging scene in FF VIII. And the world is being embraced by a figure that looks quite a lot like Ultimecia.
Happened to me. I also noticed that as of last night I would periodically lose all upgrades I'd unlocked. The only way to get them back was to quit and reload the game.
What a mess. I was looking forward to the opportunity to jump ahead a few levels. If they have to postpone the event, I'd mind less if they told us why. But as usual, we face the corporate wall of silence.
For those who ask why we care, the opportunity to speed up progression is productive - it saves us time in our attempt to unlock skins, weapons, and so forth. Further, that we paid for Premium does not mean that DICE/EA have to do everything on time. But we have paid -...
Cost aside, this remake is going to be beautiful. I'm especially happy that they remade Lara's face for this: the face on PS360 was far too babyish - it looked nothing like the face in either the concept art or the video sequences. The new lighting is a great bonus, and the hair is going to really add to the immersion (negative opinions aside, hair has always been one sticking point when it came to immersion).
I have no problem buying this game again at $30 after buy...
I've played it on PS4 already, and while it's fun, they need to make various improvements. The control system SUCKS. The menu system SUCKS. It has so much potential, but has been implemented in such a poor way.
