I don't mind the name or the continued focus on origin. For those who are concerned with the portrayal of women in games, I think this series is doing a fantastic job of taking steps in this respect. The portrayal of a female investigator/fighter is all well-and-good, but the serious and sustained development of a female as a female-in-development portrays her as human, as a person subject to personal engagement.
And for those who don't care about women in gaming, th...
What if they give us Fallout 4: Doom?
I'm very tempted to say Fallout 4, but there's a persuasive argument that Bethesda has never unveiled a FO or ES game at E3 (they always announce before E3 at some other venue, then at most give a big further presentation at E3 - see r/Fallout). So my position is that I'm all-in on a Bethesda FO4 announcement this year, but I'm only willing to buy in a bit on E3.
Agreed. I don't mind the next-gen versions of last-gen games (like Tomb Raider, Last of Us, and so on), but I'm really, really sick of cross-gen games (like BF4, AC4, etc.). It was fine at the beginning of next-gen, but they really need to just make the switch and take advantage of the new capacities. I'll be royally peed off if (a) FO4 is cross-gen and (b) if they are still using that old game engine.

There is 0% chance it's an X1 exclusive. XBOX couldn't begin to scrape together the cash to cover the lost sales to Bethesda from exclusivity. Certainly not with PS4's lead in sales. And unlike Capcom with Dragon's Dogma 2, Bethesda doesn't need a capital influx to support development of FO4. Skyrim made them a mint.
Sure, but Witcher 3 took a long hard look at Skyrim. Place everything in its proper historical context.
1. They've been working on this game for a long time.
2. It's a game in a series that's been modded.
3. It's a game in a series that's been subject to a great deal of rumors/false announcements by fans.
It's Fallout 4. I'm all in. Cards on the table, peeps! E3, activate!
Others will no doubt be able to answer you better than I can, but I'd wager they are separate announcements, not merely focused looks at games announced during other parts of the event. I'm reminded, for instance, of Bethesda's separate announcements of Skyrim and FO3. For instance, it's odd that Uncharted 4 isn't there, so it might be included in Sony's press conference.
FFVII remake and I'll cry.
So many unannounced titles!
Bethesda 1 (FO4?!?!?!?!?!)
Crytek 1 (Crysis 4?)
Deep Silver 2
EA 1
ID&XBOX 1 (??)
Microsoft 2
Nintendo 1
SCEA 2 (Last Guardian?)
Square 3
Tecmo Koei 1 (1080p DoA?)
Ubisoft 2 (At least one will be AC: Unity for sure)
505 Games 1
Looks to be really, really good!
(Sorry if I missed any)
1) Fallout 4 ("megaton")
2) Half Life 3 (The speech pattern of the voice discussing the disc matches that of Half Life 1's intro)
3) Second voice that says "disc activated" sounds like a voice in a game, but I can't place it.
4) There is text on the floor at 0:35, identical on each side. Can't figure out how to translate it to English though.
5) The way Kaz's eyes light up is suspicious. <...
*won't is also acceptable English. Just means something slightly different.
RE1 remake. And yes, I would buy it.
I haven't heard anything since the event, I grant that. So I don't expect you to take me at my word. We definitely saw it though, and in fact that was when we learned they were even making a Sims 4. But realistically, there's no reason they couldn't release it on PS4. They could even make it keyboard compatible.
New Tomb Raider on Day 1, without question. Playing through Deus Ex HR now - so good.
The Sims 4 PS4 was announced last year at one of Sony's events. It's also coming to X1. I forget whether it was the initial reveal or E3, but I sat and watched the trailer live with my wife.
Yes.
You just summed up what I was going to say. Plenty other games around to play in the meantime.
Couldn't agree with you more. I may get the collectors edition of this new game. Kinda sad I missed out on the previous CE.
