That's what I've heard. I watched a lot of vids when it came out to see what all the hype was about. None of them impressed.
Here's a few things that would improve it, from what I've seen:
1. Single-player campaign.
2. Titan damage (losing arms, legs, etc - take a look at Front Mission 3 on PS1)
3. Total titan customization.
4. Larger fights.
5. Start MP in the titan. Having to 'summon' it ruined whatev...
Couldn't care less. Game looks boring as hell.

? All previous footage has been gameplay footage. They confirmed that in the kotaku article recently.
I'm right there with you. I haven't wanted any other game in recent memory more than I want this. 18 years ago I played Frontier: Elite II for the first time. I have been waiting for another game like that ever since. No Man's Sky is that game.

The "OMG" setting in DoA 5 is, strangely, far more natural than the "Natural" setting.
