I wondered about that too...
I disagree with the viewpoint in the article. Not for reasons of equality or sexism though. Rather, Final Fantasy games have always been searching psychological dramas. Excluding the feminine viewpoint and experience from the main cast will damage that, I think.
I'm still extremely excited for it, and the perspective of an all-male cast might be interesting. I would simply have preferred the addition of female characters for their contribution.
Total War: Warhammer
Agreed.
Colony Wars
G-Police
Soul Reaver with the same music and voices - I would pay a small fortune to play that on next gen.
Boobs aside, they did great things with DoA5, like the wetness and dirt effects, skin texture/lighting effects, story structures, and level layers. I'm really looking forward to what they add in 6. Character creation would be great. Some sort of 'free fight' mode, where you can run around fighting bots, would also be cool. Kind of like Dynasty Warriors challenge mode but with beat em up controls and skimpier outfits. ;-)
No split-screen, no purchase. I'll stick to the free version.
Assassin's Creed is the only game I might consider.
The rest can wait until the price drops.
I agree that GZ looks amazing, but I has a few complaints about the graphics. Small things really, but definitely thinks that could be improved.
Granted. And I bought it. But I was thinking along the lines of remasters, and as you say if we class it as a port then its quite good.
Totally depends.
Good remaster: Tomb Raider, TLOU, Metro, Halo.
Bad remaster: Silent Hill, Dynasty Warriors 8, Dead or Alive 5.
Now, can we stop with the articles 'evaluating' remastering old games as such? How about we simply put out reviews of particular remasters. If a company wants to put one out and there's a market for it, as there clearly is, there's no point putting out article after article judging the merits of rema...
Agreed. I wish I hadn't seen Snake's discovery of Diamond Dog. That would have been a nice surprise in-game.
I feel the need to set it up at the back of my class of students and turn it on at some random and surprising moment.
That freaked me out.
I didn't look behind me...
Yup, that was indeed said.
And of course, they haven't...
Maybe XV will blow us all away.
Why 'stupidly'?
Best part of the whole demo.
Day 1.
Now redo FFVII to the same quality.
Guess it's a good thing I'm learning Japanese then...
