It's certainly true that game developers and publishers are businesses, and their main goal is to maximize their profits. If different companies behave differently, it's because they have different ideas about what will maximize their profits. GZ

That's business. Ports are a lot cheaper to do than original games, so developers will naturally make as much as they can from ports. They'll make more original games when they see sales are high enough to make up for the far higher development costs. GZ
