Bout freakin' time. I've been playing Lemmings since it came out for Christ's sake! The only time I ever turned the damned thing on was to watch a movie (BD), but now I've got Tekken... Sweet sweet Tekken, and hope... Sweet sweet hope. Things are looking up for Darth Playstation it seems.
Who even cares anymore? Live's a good service, Home looks like a good service, but as far as I'm concerned, unless they start running on the same platform, they're not even competing.
If they turn Fallout into a first-person Elder Scrolls clone I will never buy another Bethesda game for as long as I live. RPGs NEED scripted dialogue and events. The greatest RPGs of all time have always had them (KOTOR, Torment, Fallout, FF, Jade Empire, Secret of etc.). To try and cram a game as multi-dimensional as Fallout into the Bethesda cookie cutter sheet would be a tragedy. Bethesda doesn't even make RPGs, they make first person hack'n'slashers with character sheets. It was like the...
Way to f#ck the early adopters. Thanks Microsoft!
it does matter what gen a title is... if it's first gen. I know you're thinking, "but these are the games out NOW," and you're right, but try not to forget that most people only own one system or the other, so as far as most people are concerned the other system's games are worth EXACTLY d!ck. Now, when your average gamer owns both systems, THEN whatever gen titles are out don't matter, because by then developers are starting on even footing with all systems, so comparisons between ...
Most people have no way to directly compare these games, basing their entire analysis on 5 minutes of footage with VH1 style info pop-ups. Having played both, I really had to give the nod to Gears, but for 24% of reviewers to even SUGGEST that Gears has a more robust and entertaining selection of vehicles speaks volumes about how twisted this console war has become. Gears had 1 fuc|<ing vehicle in a segment of the game that everyone I know thinks was crap, and detracted from their overall ...
I've been looking for a video of this for over a year. Thank you for this.
Seriously though, there's only a few games I've ever seen with graphics of that quality, and none of them are on PS2.
this may be part of a marketing strategy as underhanded as those we've come to expect from MS and EA. Everyone by now knows about tekken 5 being re-released via the Sony network. It looks amazing, and comes with slightly more content than the original ap did, right? Maybe Sony isn't acknowledging the craptitude of their BC because they're planning on just refurbishing most of their best sellers with better resolutions and extra content to be released in a similar manner. Not too many people w...
COD3... better on 360
THPS8... better on 360
Madden... better on 360
NFS Carbon... well... that's about even really
But FN3? LOOKS F#CKING BETTER ON PS3!! You can even see their veins and muscles muving under the skin! C'mon people!
Hopefully Uwe Bol will also not be having anything to do with it. I hope Jason Statham gets the 47 role (looks like you guys already beat me to it). He could totally pull off the look.
You'd rest the heavy cumbersome side on your knee, because you'd be sitting. The layout seems cumbersome, sure, but better than trying to use the standard controller with 1 hand. I think this design could benefit from a scroll wheel, but MS has banned the use of scroll wheels and other mouse-like peripherals. Good idea with goos intentions I say.
Demos and sh!t appear free on Live! because you don't have to pay when you DL. But subscription revenues cover those costs. With Sony's plan, instead of offering free bandwidth on their servers for third party companies, those companies would have to pay for uploads and would recieve a kickback for titles that sold well. But titles that are free don't gross any cash, meaning that either the consumer, or the developer would have to pay for the distribution costs. Also, because Sony is trying t...
Or rather, that interviewer sucked. He asked the same question 5 times with different wording. He should have asked about how Kaz is going to be handling the brand differently, what the future plans are for next year, what sort of IPs we can expect in the future, how Sony plans on bolstering their stock value, and maybe 1 question about the short supply. Boo this man! BOOOOO!
Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems kinda like PS3 (or Cell fans if you prefer) have twice as many bubbles as 360 (or... Xenon[?]) fans. Anyone else seeing this? One word: Awesome.
One has less features than the other, and to completely compensate for the discrepencies would actually end up costing MS customers MORE than Sony's. They're not even using the same programming paradigm. Where the hell have you been?
I seriously don't get it. Sony's obviously slipping in the PR department, the media is trashing them, and average-joe-gamer is pissed. Then Ken blows it all off like it's nothing. I think he's telling the truth. He really doesn't care. The PS3 better be as hot-$hit as I think it's going to be.
At the risk of being flamed off the internet forever, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say: Smackdown is lame, Blue Dragon looks lame (could be fun as hell, what do I know?), Lost Odyssey's gameplay looks dated, LotR: BfME was only acceptable to people who've never played an RTS on PC before, Saint's Row is made for a target demographic I can't even imagine (and is a shoddy GTA rip-off), and Prey was a resounding "meh". I'm already playing Splinter Cell and can officially say ...
The code starts to repeat itself again about half way through. Might be significant *shrug*
This editorial broke my heart to read. Not because I think you've "betrayed the cause" or because I was surprised, but because I know you're right, and that this tiny bit of my childhood is lost to me forever. "... and when I became a man, I put aside childish things" is how that old saying goes I think. The saga of Fallout (or Black Isle if you prefer) will for the forseeable future remain as the greatest tragedy in gaming history. Some would disagree with me of course, o...
