Why in the world would anyone be thankful for a game that is racist? Even conceptually that concept seems *** backwards... I mean for what reason should racism exist in the game? Simply because it's set in the early 1900's, though I personally think you throw out your right to call history accuracy when you start adding in floating cities and the like. Like a LOT of these things in games, they're okay to a degree, but the second some idiot like this guy brings the topic up for dis...

In the same ball park, you could get Catherine avatars for beating the first babel stage within X period of time.

I think it's marketing speak for "this person isn't a Bioshock Fanboy, so if you want a fanboy free review, check ours out". The funny thing is that I always instantly distrust anyone that markets themselves as honest, truthful or anything in that area.

Depends. Amazon is tax free for a lot of people, so at most you're paying for shipping (is RDD shipping still at $1 dollar?) and even that could be free with PRIME. Using RZ credit at Bestbuy lowers how much you get taxed. If you use $55 in vouchers, then you'll only have to pay taxes for the remaining $5 dollars. Plenty more examples, but I covered them in my other reply.

Eh, this is at MOST convenient, but not cheaper in any sense.

This is because of a number of things...

1) Several places offer preorder credit (like BB with Bioshock Infinite).
2) Most places will let you price match after the purchase and virtually any place will freely let you return a sealed copy if you can find it for less. So if a game drops to $40 shortly after release (as many have), then you can save $20 bucks via that over downloading it. <...

Who needs Nintendo when Monster Hunter can kill hundreds of hours without trying.

I couldn't disagree more.

I read preorder DLC, no matter the size or shape as content deliberately removed from the game. At least a physical item cost companies to make and look fairly cool. Sure this one isn't that grand (flat out copy of the Black Ops 2 preorder item, though it makes sense for Battlefield 4), but it's a LOT harder to do something cool with a military game.

I think you're mistaking personal taste and COVERING a checklist as what is making up the score, when in reality, there are tons of different reviews out there.

I've read a few reviews for Harmoknight and I just so happened to notice a few things during them. The first was that none of them really touched on the fact it ACTUALLY has a story, a damsel in distress one no less (I laughed about the Anita stuff and this game for a little bit), yet none of the reviews reall...

Don't forget the EX DLC!

That really depends on how Pachter is used. If people hire him to do the opposite of what he says (which is typically right), then wouldn't that make him good at his job? Perhaps he's something of a comic or maybe they hire him to patch the first idea at meetings so no one will feel stupid.

The WIi U version is the "best" version and will feature some addition features only possible with the gamepad. Now how good these features are and if they're enough to get me to buy Wii U over PS3 has yet to be seen.

The dev team flat out stated this delay was over the porting of the game and they're not fixing anything for the Wii U version.

Yup.

I personally thought the statement was rather comical, since actions speak louder than words. It's virtually impossible to be a system seller when you're asking people to spend hundreds of dollars for a minor difference (if this model worked, Kinect / Move would be more common) and even harder when the community is angry at you. Rayman Legends will get some sales, but it will be a bargain bin title in a few months.

So 2013 is the year of the Vita? Good to know Pachter!

Decent review, but shame the reviewer didn't play the hard stages. Contrary to what the review says, there are not 46 stages, but 54 (59 with Pokemon stages). The last group of stages are a LOT more difficult than the rest of the game and offer completely different challenges from the rest of the game.

How exactly are they trashing the Wii?

The chart simply shows what device A and device B can do, which is FAR from uncommon in the world of tech. (here's one for the Kindle http://www.amazon.com/gp/pr... just scroll down)

^ This.

It's also quite likely that only smaller developers took the time to reply to this survey, so by default you have people with less money / options to begin with. I mean, even if your small company made a boxed product, good luck getting most retailers to carry it, as games like Monster Hunter aren't even widely carried in stores.

Buy a USB / BT keyboard, they can be had for like 10 dollars and are usable on the PSN to type messages like that.

Depends how competent my partners are.

If I am doing objectives in a shooter and they're doing TDM, I don't play well with them.
If I am hunting monsters in Monster Hunter and they're supporting others to kill the monster, no problems here.
If they're a blithering moron (I met two people on the PSN that couldn't pronounce Admiral, so they called me Adam.), I quit the match that very second.

Why not just get the Pikachu one? It's a CE, it's an XL, you can buy it today to enjoy Monster Hunter (or some other game I guess) and get it for $160 bucks.

One of the problems with this debate is how many shades of grey there actually are. Take your Peach remarks, you could read them that way and you could read them as Nintendo not trying to change what works (a problem MANY games suffer from and many others suffer from changing too much), or you could look in context of the Japanese culture, which look down on women. Most of these debates just show that not everyone feels the same way and in some cases seem short sighted. Like Anita is probably...
