No, but every other article should be! /s
@ Vickers500
I can give you a list, but I won't. Ultimately in my opinion I didn't think the game was perfect and giving you a list would just result in a semantic argument about how our opinions are different. Maybe you want to tell me how to think, but I rather not argue about how I should view things.
Terrible article and terrible point. I tried to read it so I could give a fair comment, but it felt like the point of the article is why we should care about Tomb Raider, over anything to do with Female Protagonists.
Like the fighting game remark, I only think of Dead or Alive when it comes to beach editions (cause it's the only fighter I know of that has done a beach edition...) and is the only one I think of when it comes to breast physics. Maybe other fighters contain...
Maybe I am missing the point, but Tomb Raider has been around for generations / decades, so I don't see why this game is "trailblazing" or even worth noting. There have been solid females in the past and some of them have had complex backstories. Maybe she's "less" sexualized in this version, but they're still largely the same.
Confirmed untrue.
Bioshock had a good setting, nice designs / charming style and an amazing story, but it had plenty of problems. Also even if Bioshock Infinite is "better" in every aspect, we've seen PLENTY of examples where amazing games got technically better sequels, yet they're still hold in lower regard.
I think Bioshock Infinite will be a good game, perhaps a great game, but best game this generation... that's pushing it.
I love how the commercial shows a Wii U version, yet now it's at "We'll see" status.
It might be, it might not be. Even if Nintendo were to allow it on other consoles, it's hard to say how the title with fare and more importantly who will publish it. We've seen Sega screw up marketing PG plenty of times, so I am not quite sure who would foot the bill. Also we don't know how important the touchpad will be, so it might be a virtually permeant exclusive like I suspect Zombi U will be.
Why does a free game need a review... does someone really need to read something to justify downloading it, when they can just download it and find out in less time?
Day 1! Also don't forget that if you buy a 3DS XL and this then go to Club Nintendo, you can get a free game voucher for a select game.
The App is already out...

Great to see it finally release, but not a fan on how complex it is. Would have been nice to see a more streamline version, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
Supporting it is obviously worse... I mean it's one thing for companies to try (I mean thats what they do) and another to actually support it.
They lost me at highly praised.
Not to sound rude, but what is your point? Monster Hunter is a game with a smaller user base, so it's QUITE possible that Target didn't get a large stock or didn't stock many of them (it's not uncommon for a retailer to be lazy about stocking a new game, I saw BB fail to stock PS All-Stars and Dead Space 3 on release).
Down voted and who approved this worthless article?
Ignoring the fact that both the versions of the game explains this in the manual and clicking transfer (or whatever it's called on the Wii U) also explains this, the app isn't even out, so what exactly is the point? Just to tell people you need an app to do it? I suppose it might help some people, but at least wait till the app is actually out to explain how it works...
Riptide isn't even out yet...
@ GayManDude / Clarence
Thats like comparing apples and oranges. You have a new console with a smaller user base and all of your examples (GayManDude) are ports of highly popular games on other consoles.
Obviously I don't think Dead Island is going to destroy the charts, but with the lack of games on the Nintendo Wii U... it's impossible to say it will do worse. If Dead Island Riptide released at the same time and implemented some things like Zombi U...
First off, you're wrong. While I am not going to go down a list of games that came out to prove you wrong, I can tell you off the top of my head...
1) Neptunia Victory (March 2013) has a mostly female cast and female pro tag.
2) Atelier (like March or late Feb 2013) has a female lead and is about finding her sister.
So there are at least 2 others, not saying I disagree with your point, but I am saying everything is based off how much you know / ho...
Anyone else disappointed that shift is nothing (more or less) but a golden key service?
