Seriously. Why are people so confused?
Um, I'm pretty sure it says that PS3 saved Blu-Ray and not the other way around as your comment would indicate.
Rare is wholly owned by Microsoft. Therefore Banjo is being made by Microsoft - Microsoft employees, Microsoft's money etc..
I think it would be cool, but I can understand devs not wanting to use precious resources on it. Take Insomniac, it would be fun to replay Resistance and Rachet, but they are hard at work on Resistance 2 so I get why they don't want to take anyone away from making that gamer perfect just to patch some older games.
If the internet is buzzing about something it makes sense that they are going to try to figure out how to turn it into clicks - that's their bread and butter. Certainly this is a newsworthy issue, but I think we could all do with a bit more solid "journalism".
There has been no announcement to that effect just internet speculation. I think I may have heard that Ted Price or someone from Insomniac said that that was not the title, but I can't recall exactly.
Pretty sure Quest for Booty is a PSN game - I've heard Ted Price hint at it once or twice in interviews over the past year or so.
Really looking forward to this one, but I don't know if I want to know too much about it - preserve the mystery.
I don't think Monsters has support yet. Does it? Pixel Junk Eden will have them when it come out - on Thursday I think.
I tried to get a trophy in the demo - time limit is too short :) Funny that the 4.0 patch is bigger than the original game by 65 MB.
In a nutshell: 1st party means Sony developed and published (e.g. Warhawk), 3rd party means not developed or published by Sony (e.g. MGS4, GTA4). I believe 2nd party generally refers to a game that it published, and often funded in some way, by the first party (e.g. Sony) but developed by an independent (3rd party) studio (e.g. Insomniac) like Ratchet & Clank.
obviously it doesn't always have anything to do with Sony - that's just for the sake of example - could be Microsoft...
I would love it if they would just quit making home console hardware and make games for other platforms. Zelda on PS3 would be the hottness. That's right, two Ts.
I think the trophies are an elegant solution to something that Playstation gamers have been crying out for - so well done Sony. I also think that the "level" idea and different tiers of trophies is an improvement over the achievement/gamerscore system.
Doesn't this contradict what they said on the Playstation Blog?
SOCOM Confrontation (with headset bundled) comes out September 16th.
This is a must buy for the DS.
I don't believe they have said yet when it will start. I imagine the news will be on n4g as soon as it breaks though.
No Stairway!
It would be nice, but it's just another thing that would add to the cost of putting a PS3 on the shelf that an awful lot of gamers wouldn't have any use for. I don't disagree that it would be a great pack-in, but I think a SOCOM bundle would make more sense than including it with every single system.
I like that someone had to go and do a report to conclude this. Was it authored by Captain Obvious?
