There were always more rings that existed though, they didn’t make them after halo 3. There’s always been 7 or so.
The problem with the new Halo games (more so Halo 5 than 4) isn’t that they continued after Halo 3 - it’s that they did so with poor execution
How is this a bad thing?
In another article on Ghosts of Tsushima you said “There's tons of PS4 stuff I've missed out on hopefully this also gets a ps5 release”
I’m getting the vibe that you’re only keen on back compat for one console and not the other
@sushi
- Fall Guys, the multiplayer game
- Destiny 2, the shared world MMO-lite
Some poor arguments there mate
Wot.
Game Pass is a service that gives you access to games. This is a game.
Why is that a bad thing though? Sounds like they only care about you playing their games, not where you play them
So wait you’re saying every one of those games is lackluster? Okay
76 agree with, but pretty much every other game you listed did well critically and commercially (particularly Doom)
So you’ll not be buying Demons Souls remastered then? Because it came out in the last 13 years too.
To address your actual question:
Because some people trade consoles to get the next gen?
Because some people aren’t old enough to have played some of those games?
Because some people might have never bought a PlayStation before, or not owned any recent ones?
Also, he didn’t say “only” play games from ...
“Boost Mode”
“Doesn’t give it a special name”
Pick one
MS has been developing and pushing for BC for years. To imply that they’re pushing it as a knee jerk reaction to halo Infinite’s disappointing showcase is to ignore that it’s been at the forefront of their messaging for like 70% of their time in this generation
Plenty of people do though. It’s not like games like The Last of Us 2 stop existing once the PS5 launches, and there are people who either didn’t get a PS4 or didn’t get the game that would love to play it on new hardware because of sheer convenience
Remind me what year Demons Souls and Spider-Man came out again?
On topic, it’s a great lineup, and with that plus the PS+ Collection there’ll be plenty to play day one
Someone sounds bitter
Yeah like some sort of-
*checks notes*
Elder Scrolls Online?
On paper = amazing
It’s yet to be seen whether that translates to real-world performance, which is where “can’t wait to see the gameplay” comes from
This just in: fewer people buy consoles when a new one is coming out in 2 months
Yeah the PS4 has always sold better, but what kind of numbers do you expect? We’re in the middle of a pandemic, many countries have hit a recession, unemployment is crazy high, and there’s a new console iteration coming out in a couple of months
I think even with that, they’ve learned to let the technology speak for itself.
For example, Flight Simulator uses cloud tech for rendering/live weather/live traffic, and is the first application in MS’ years of “power of the cloud” that finally backs up their claims. They really should have waited until something like this was ready before they started talking about it.
Same goes with things like AI - they’re actually using machine learning in the Series...

Gears 5 on Series X will include double the fps of the One X version (and looking into 120fps for multiplayer), better lighting/contrasting, better shadow details, ray tracing, etc
Can you explain how that’s the same as backwards comparability?
And if that’s anoth...
Demon’s Souls is a remaster. Spider-Man came out 2 years ago, if that - it’s an upgrade with some PS5 features, hardly worth the title of remaster
To be clear, they all sound like great features, and I’m sure they’ll make the experience better, and for some worth the price of entry.
As a counter, every time we’d hear news on Xbox games and their Series X versions (using thesoftware730’s Gears of War example) where there were new ‘next gen only’ features available for free via Smart Delivery, as well as things like cross play and cross save, there’d be a barrage of “well duh, Sony will be doing this too, MS is just mak...
Now we’re trying to downplay free upgrades?
