Sounds like someone’s not happy just letting other people be themselves
Huh? Did you read the article?
This isn’t for the consumer at all, they’re presenting demographic data to developers to tell them what types of audiences play what types of games (with a big focus on F2P and Multiplayer, how ‘engaged’ users are, what markets buy DLC, etc)
All good stuff for developers to know, but they’re literally telling them how to maximise profits when developing for PlayStation
Haven’t kept up with the news, what leaks have come out that are virtue signalling?
Sure, but do you call the most recent halo ‘Infinite’ or Halo 6? Do you call God Of War 2018 ‘God of War 4’?
@zombieburger
“I’ve played both of those games so I don’t see a need to play this”
I don’t think that’s how games work my guy. That’s like saying you’ve played God of War 3 and The Last of Us so you don’t need to play God of War 2018
You’re not bothering because it has seasons? Have you tried it to see if you like it?
Edit: actually did you even read the article? It’s the Ranked Season. As part of the update they’re also releasing mod tools
I’m convinced that they knew they were going to ship an unfinished product, so they slapped ‘GaaS’ on it to buy themselves some time, like “oh it’s supposed to be like this because it’s a live service”
The facts are Infinite had twice the dev time yet fewer maps, modes, and features than any other Halo game, including 5 which was raked over the coals for its launch. Some of these features are just basic staples too, like co-op, forge, etc.

I don’t understand… you’re saying it’s NATO’s fault Russia invaded Ukraine?
Huh? There’s plenty of first party stuff to play
“This trend is here to stay”
But the competition are doing it for free. It doesn’t need to be a trend in the first place
What? The Activision deal was far larger so would have taken more time. Plus it was announced first. How would it have been possible to make this deal in response?
Agreed, I definitely don’t think it was in response, that’s just not how these things work.
But to get pedantic, I think Sony likely knew of the deal ahead of time - all these companies talk more than we realise
Yeah the last few weeks have demonstrated that people on this site (and gamers, at the risk of speaking more generally) lack a basic understanding of business. Everything has to be an ‘us vs them’
Ah yes, the classic “it’s not okay when you do it but it is okay when I do it”, with a healthy dose of “I’m only doing this because you made me do it”
More the tone of it - the tone of the trailer suggested something personal and dramatic, but the game was very much reminiscent of Left 4 Dead in that you were just there to kill zombies and nothing more
I mean yeah it was good, but I guess compared compared to some of their other stronger years maybe not quite as good as it could have been.
Funny that this article comes a day after the ‘Xbox is publisher of the year’ article, and the same day as Halo Infinite’s campaign launch
@garos
“ pretending that this woke nonsense will only affect the pronouns in a game”
What are you implying that it will start to affect outside pronouns in a game?
Like which games? Do you mind sharing some examples of their recent 10s that you might disagree with?
Which part is spin?

Can I have a source on this?
