Something is telling me that this new PS3 game might just be a new IP if it's not Team ICO's game.
It's good to see that they are taking advantage of the Blu-ray on the PS3 because Any 3rd party developer would be out of their mind not to take advantage of it.
I just wish that more 3rd party developers releasing games on both the 360 and PS3 at the same time could put as much focus into the PS3 because I'm tired of seeing the PS3 being held back because of the Xbox 360's technical limitations when it comes to 3rd party multiplatform games.
Sony is working on new games on the PS3, did you forget about MAG and God of War 3? Have you forgotten about Team ICO's new PS3 game that Sony is publishing, have you forgotten about Naughty Dog's new PS3 game that has yet to be announced, have you forgotten about Infamous, Killzone 2, and Heavy Rain? Or have you forgotten about the Twisted Metal PS3 game? Sony has the games coming, and I just shot down your comment. You can't blame Sony for trying to step out of the box and do something diff...
Anybody that doubts Sony this gen. with the PS3 is completely out of their mind.
The only place where the 360 sells in large numbers is the United States, it's hanging on by a thread in Europe, and it's non-existent in Japan. The Playstation 3 is selling well across all territories and is alive across the world and the install base is constantly growing.
How in the hell did this guy forget about Sony's 100+ million installbase? Microsoft should fear Sony's instal...
It's obvious that Microsoft paid for the DLC.
Fallout 3 was a part of Microsoft's Conference at E3 and they made the announcement of the Fallout 3 DLC for the 360 at E3 during Microsoft's conference, so it's obvious Microsoft just dished out money for it.
What is the point of Microsoft buying exclusive DLC for 3rd party games anyways? I mean, Microsoft didn't sell more 360 hardware just because of the GTA4 DLC and they wont sell anymore 360 hardware with Fallout ...
That was a very nice list.
I know that the purpose of this was 1st party and 2nd party, but there's one 3rd party PS3 exclusive that I just thought of that we will most likely be hearing more about in the coming months and I'm somewhat excited about: Wardevil. I think that a lot of people have forgotten about it, but it looks like it could be a big rival against God of War 3.
I'm hoping that Naughty Dog's next game is Jak and Daxter The Lost Frontier. I enjoyed ...
... I don't think that soccer moms and the gaming industry make for a good mix. However, if they are true hardcore gamer Soccer moms in the gaming industry, then it's no problem.
That boxart reminds me of the Dead Space Box boxart a LOT.
The newer 80GB model that Sony is releasing is nothing but a 40GB PS3 with a 80GB hard drive because the newer 80GB PS3 has the same functionality as the 40GB model.
So many people think that if their current PS3 doesn't have as many Gigs as a newer model then all of a sudden it's not as good. All those 40GB PS3 owners have to do is buy a 80GB hard drive for the PS3 (very cheap) and they've got the same exact model as the newer 80GB version.
I just think that a L...
Damn, I thought that GT5 was going to make a 2009 release. Polyphony Digital needs to add a few more tracks for downloadable content in GT5P at least.
It really sucks that it's taking this long for GT5, but whenever it comes out the wait will be worthwhile because it will be the ultimate Simulation Racing game on any 7th gen console.
Sometimes I wish that Polyphony Digital just would have scrapped GT5P from the beginning so that they could have finished up the fu...
"Sony just didn't have great games."
That was the biggest joke I've heard in a long time. Sony has had some of the best games in the history of gaming on their platforms. I guess the only games that kid played last gen. was Halo and Halo 2, it's a shame he missed out on all of those thousands of awesome PS2 game titles.
I played the first Halo just one time and to me the graphics were about the same as a PS2 game.
Basically what this art...
One thing that I think will keep Microsoft from selling a lot more consoles down the road is system seller game titles. The Original Xbox was really only known for one big game: Halo, and now that the biggest game on the Xbox platform has been released (Halo 3) there really isn't another exclusive game title that could push 360 console sales like Halo 3 did.
Another future Halo game wont push console sales, because the majority of people that were waiting for a Halo game to dro...
If there is a game install that long for Bioshock, I'll just do something else while it's installing. A lot of people make PS3 installs seems more serious than they actually are. While a game is installing you could be on N4G checking gaming news, checking email, make a sandwich or run out to the store and get some snacks for gaming.
Personally I would rather have 1 initial game install and shorter load times than a game with no install and long load screens throughout the game...
Upscaled DVD may look nice, but it doesn't look as good as Blu-ray, so basically you aren't getting the best picture that you can get. A lot of Xbox 360 fanboys deny that they even need Blu-ray, but if Microsoft came out with a Blu-ray Add-on for the 360, all of you would be running out and buying it and you know it, so stop acting like you don't need Blu-ray.
I can't believe I wasted my time for that video to load up, there's no gameplay footage.
If they showed gameplay footage, they would have broken the NDA agreement and they would be in some DEEP SH*T for breaking the contract and they know that.... they obviously just want more hits on their site or something.
I want to make one thing clear, there will NEVER be a Xbox 360 exclusive of ANY Final Fantasy game. There are around 600,000 people in Japan with 360's and the game would have dismal sales because JRPG's tend to sell more in Japan anyways and the 360 hardly even exists in Japan, SquareEnix isn't that stupid.
As far as a FF VII remake, if it did ever happen, it would be a PS3 exclusive more than likely because the original version on the PS1 was published by Sony.
...
Well, it was announced that this newer 80GB model would have the "same functionality as the 40GB PS3", so basically that means:
No PS2 Compatibility
2 USB Ports
No Flash Card Readers
I don't know why it's so hard for some people to comprehend. Basically this new 80GB model is nothing but a 40GB PS3 with a 80GB hard drive and that's it.
I could care less about the PS3 not having USB ports in the rear though.
I'm not a Final Fantasy fan at all, but I'm buying FFXIII because I'm just starting to get into RPG's and I want to broaden my gaming tastes a little bit.
But, after all of the FF games were initially released on Nintendo consoles, the Final Fantasy series has just become one of those awesome Playstation franchise games and many Final Fantsay fans have become major Playstation fans and I see why so many people have backlashed after the FFXIII on 360 announcement.
PS3 sales were boosted by those Wal-mart deals, the MGS4 80GB PS3 bundle, and the launch of MGS4 in general. I think that PS3 sales will probably return to pre 300,000 unit level next month, but there's just no telling. Now that the PS3 has gotten a MAJOR hit game title, I think that many people now see the PS3 as a worthy console and PS3 sales should remain pretty solid for the rest of this year.
That 80GB PS3 at $399 is going to be a hit at retail when it's released because ...
Yep, that's right, the PS3 is a Monster Machine and that's why Metal Gear Solid 4 is a PS3 exclusive and always will be. Just because FFXIII went to the 360, that doesn't mean that every other PS3 3rd party exclusive will go to the 360.
