"Again, it says a lot about the PSN that people are willing to buy a 360 and then pay to play online, instead of just going with the free option."
That says nothing about PSN. You should of said '...it says a lot about Live...' instead. That way you could argue that despite having to pay, people still will for a good service.
But then, you have to think of the people who have Live accounts and who pays for it. There are about 20 million Live user...
"You guys can spin it any way that you want to, but the fact remains that even with the PS3 having FREE online, people still pay to play on Xbox Live.
Now what does that say about the PSN and the PS3?"
That tells me, as the Troll_Police has pointed out to you that people who own a 360 have no access to any other service so obviously if they wanna play online there gonna have to pay. Would you honestly keep paying for live if there was an altern...
this vid shows quite the contrary.
I don't want to even imagine how innacurate penalty kicks would be with kinect. Seriously, for that, just buy a $5 football and go have some fun in the park.
Also, millions of people aren't paying for live out of their own pocket so they aren't gonna complain about the price. Parents are a useful invention.
He would be right if he was talking only about kinect....everyone here struggles to think of a good way to implement standard controls with kinect, and no doubt that problem is the same with the developers.
Move and Wii are far better suited and we have no problem thinking of how to move your character forward or slash a sword with these control schemes.
Kinect alone will never be used for any game that requires more than two steps forward to complete.
I don't know how people can justify paying a company to have online access when you already pay another company for that very same feature.
I know that if sony started charging to play online, I would not just say meh, and pay the ridiculous fee... I would stop playing online and probably get hold of ps jailbreak.
I had so much fun with my ps2 and never once even contemplated playing online with it, and I think the single player experiences this gen a...
Not being able to play online is a much bigger loss than not being able to play ps2 games.
On the extreme rare occasion I may decide to play a classic ps2 game if i'm bored but on the whole I never play any ps2 games. Just like when I got a ps2 game I hardly ever played ps1 games. For a start, it's hard to go back and play some games...some just do not stand the test of time.
I for one was gutted when sony took out b/c for the only reason that the...
whats the actual benefits of ps jailbreak...cos its £90. If that only allows me to play ps2 games then what is the point?
boring comment, doesn't deserve a rebuttal.
That is a very petty reason to not buy a game. I can only come to the conclusion that you have no interest in buying it in the first place.
You are right tho, the trigger should definately be used...whoever thought otherwise is an idiot. But like anything, you would get used to it very quickly.
If you kick your bro, sis, or kid in the head you should record it and upload it onto youtube for the world to enjoy! Hilarious.
Move hasn't recieved much criticism from either side except the most blatant xbots. You could say Move isn't new because Wii released a similar device before them but at least Move strives to improve on the Wii formula which is undoubtedly a good thing for gaming.
When a product comes out showing as many faults as Kinect has it is our duty to question it and possibly ridicule it if we are expected to pay so much for a seemingly broken product. I would gladly stifle ...
I am really looking forward to trying out Move with Heavy Rain and RE5... both of which are games I have been very tempted to buy but just didnt entice that little bit extra with what they offered.
But with Move, it changes everything for me, and I can see myself having 2 unique experiences with both games using both control schemes, that's quite appealing to me.
Still don't think I will buy Move straight away but if MGS:Rising makes an announcement that ...
Why is his wife Coleen described as "his famous wife Coleen"? She is only famous because of Rooney, that is not fame.
To be fair, he has to find ways of getting rid of all that dosh and what better way than giving it straight into the hands of the less fortunate... for a service of course.
Where was the equiping of two primary weapons? Didn't see that once.
Edit: Oh yeh, didn't notice that. As long as they keep it balanced it shouldn't be a problem.
Hope rockets aren't as powerful as they were in KZ2. The noobs who used them, only used them to trade kills and would usually have a k/d ratio of 1 at the end of games, how boring... and annoying!
It's a sad state of affairs on a site like this when a level-headed comment like that will get so many disagrees (I personally think Wii can be fun along with millions of other people - and it's hard to argue that anyone reading this couldn't find a few games on Wii that you genuinely couldn't have fun with) ...and yet a comment along the lines of "xbox 360 sucks BALLS" will get a disproportionate amount of agrees to disagrees.
I am astounded that people can find a controller confusing (and I know people who are)... there are more buttons and more confusing buttons on a standard remote control for a tv but that seems to be fine.
The joypad has gone through many iterations in it's lifetime and it is now at the stage where it is so intuitive and easy to use there is no excuse for not being able to play with one.
Any dumbing down is not necessary except to please your gran an...
how is it possible to get more disagrees than agrees for a comment like that.
With all the talk of accuracy and precision with Move, and with Sony saying "if you suck in real life, you'll suck in the game" I was expecting a far different experience. Obviously if that were true nobody would buy the game cos it wouldn't be fun. Still doesn't look like that much fun with the comparatively easy controls to what was originally touted. Why anyone who wasn...
Someone actually trying to start a discussion about gaming, this is unheard of!
I think we will have to wait atleast ten years or more for something like VR to make a commercial appearance...(ps5 and xbox 1080 days maybe) and be a success. In saying that I have no idea where the tech of VR is at so for all I know VR could be nintendo's next innovate thing in the near future.
As for full body tracking, yeh only really fighting, dancing and fitness game...
I think that's just how the gaming industry is evolving. 8 to 10 hour singleplayer games is the norm now on both consoles, nothing to do with microsoft...that's being a little paranoid.
"They force multiplayer on you so you have no choice but to buy multiplayer maps" - pretty ridiculous accusation to make. I hope you are an angry xbox owner standing up for an outrageous price increase on a service which should be free, and not a blatant sony fanboy. I fear...
