Yeh, I can't afford to buy every game that takes my fancy...I'd be skint by now. Demo's are the best indicator but reviews can be useful to find out some flaws and some good points in a game.
On a side note, 'not that good' should really be around 4/10 because 5 should be taken as an average game. Review scores have been over inflated beyond belief almost to the point where every game will get at least an 8 nowadays.

Reviews are still a very good source of the quality of a game. The biased reviews usually balance out so checking metacritic and some decent review sites will give you a good indication of a product's value to you personally.
If you don't have access to kinect, listening to a range of other people's opinions and watching vids is all you can go on.
Why can a company decide when their product should be reviewed? What happened to freedom of press...

It's not our own fault that we let it happen, there was nothing we could do to stop it. There's so many more casual gamers it was only a matter of time before focus turned to them. More customers equals more money.

Remember 5 means an average game, so anything above that could be worth a play through if you think you'd like it.
Game reviews aren't harsh enough nowadays, if its not a 9 or above people automatically think that it has failed so the scores have had to be pushed up for all games. Scoring systems really mean nothing nowadays...its just some guys opinion, hardly ever based on aspects of the game.

Good vid showing off kinect's games. Seeing them in action has definitely changed my view on kinect. Although it's still not really for me, it looks great for kids and as a party device.
If people pulled their heads out of their arses they might realise it does look fun.
