No reason for Remedy as a 3rd party studio to keep Alan Wake a 360 exclusive. That ship has sailed. Even Fable 3 and Crackdown 2 struggled last year. Competition's only gonna get stiffer.
Rare to get such a smooth transition to three new protagonists. Any one of Kiryu's new horsemen could've carried it, but to have all four leads be as strong as they were in the end, yeah that's rare!
A country mile that's sub-HD? Documented frame drops, screen tears, pop-in, delayed texture loads, shadow issues and lesser 3D are a generation ahead? Bragging about which AI looks better as it's glitched on a corner seems kinda moot.
I'm actually looking forward to LOT's inevitable KZ3/C2 head2head for that reason, because from a technical standpoint, not to be confused with an artistic one, it's impossible to lie knowing what we know. You either chug or...
How come LOT caught the screen tearing while DF ignored it despite catching it in their own video feed? That's not cool. It's supposed to be a full analysis. What if someone wanted the no-tear version? They screwed up on the res' too. Rush job.
Did he really say that?! I didn't click it, just passing through. Wow. So now a game winning awards and being critically acclaimed (87 bub, not 83) means 'fanboyism'? LOL. If his thoughts went to that it probably means that's the kind of thing HE does. In this case, deduct points for exclusivity. If this was a multiplat, this article probably wouldn't exist.
Then what the heck are you exactly? Look at all the 360 peeps calling the DS $hit and PS3 players scummy fanboys all of a sudden just because Cliffy said it's okay. What makes you guys any different, any better? Half the reason this is bumped to 5 pages now is cuz you guys can't resist taking shots too. Let it go.
THIS! 100X this. I don't like playing with just my fingertips in the bowls on the 360 pad, I like laying my thumbs flat against them and the grip on the Dualshock allows for this. More weight behind my movements, from any angle. Not just straight down.
Cliffy's starting to sound like a fanboy r'tard himself with the whole 'shapes vs letters' rant. Do you play better if it's 'A' and not 'X' dude? Wtf does that even warrant trolling for, ...
Played it on the 360 last night. Game already has a metric ton of pop-in and odd bugs with the AI and hit detection (bullets passing through the semi-cab on the broken bridge), so who the heck needs screen tearing on top of that? If one is v-synced and one isn't, that's gonna be significant to me going forward.
@Minty
So it's basically the Mass Effect 2 PS3 demo all over again but roles reversed. Unlocked frames vs tearing. BioWare did wind up v-syncing th...
Enemies just standing there and taking it is not good AI. The video reviews prove it. Don't believe Gamespot's examples? Go watch Gametrailers' review for more. Hell, watch some Youtube gameplay. Good that some sites are cognisant of it, as maybe they can work on patches later.
Et tu reading comprehension? The IGN review has not been up for 2 weeks, that's what I was referring to. Not 'who cares about Crysis' but 'who cares' about 1 review/100. Put all your eggs in IGN's basket and you'd think the game had super AI. Meanwhile Gametrailers and Gamespot have video reviews up saying the AI is crap and they show bugs like enemies running in circles and stuck on walls. Why aren't those reviews stickied?
What if it doesn't? Will you eat your own face? IGN's said things before eg. ME2 on PS3 that have been countered by Digital Foundry etc. IGN are just one opinion. Who cares.
If people aren't even gonna look at the multiplayer in multiplayer-centric games like this, which Thunderbolt didn't, then don't bother reviewing the game at all. Seriously. Just call in sick.
Three quarters of the article is bitching about story. Dude ignores the online all together which the story has no impact on at all. Convenient? Or is the guy just a bias moron? I say both. Who the hell gives a final score by only reviewing half a game?!
Whoa! That had to hurt a bit, heh.
Good score, good game!
Lucy said there's been 6 known apples. They are called and numbered as such and shown in AC2 Subject 16 puzzles. They're all technically pieces of eden along with the sword, the staff and the shroud.
According to the AC wiki, George Washington had the third apple http://assassinscreed.wikia... .

BF:Bad Company and Far Cry 2 are open FPS's too. Just sayin'.
There's more than one. It's appleS, plural. At the end of AC1 it shows their locations all over the world. In AC:B there's about 4 or so Assassin groups out in the field looking for stuff apart from Desmond's team. Check your emails on the Auditore crypt's computer for their status.
Umm, lots of games have on-rails segments to break up the action. Why? Variety, and they're FUN! Don't be such newbs.
MGS4, COD:MW2, BF:BC2, RE5, Uncharted, Gears, AC:Brotherhood, RDR, all have on-rails and are some of the highest rated games this gen'. Let's not blow 3 segments of vehicle combat out of proportion just to fill some hater quota. It's transparent.
Worst textures this gen'? Okay now you're trolling lol. Go play any movie based game like Transformers ROTF or even look at a wall in COD. Read some analysis from DF etc. Too many people calling Crysis 2 a marvel and KZ3 shit with literally nothing to back it up after that demo. What good are textures on a potted plant that doesn't pop up until you've almost passed it?
You're saying pop-in and framerate issues are acceptable because it means both consoles&...
Is this the same Thunderbolt that just gave KZ3 a 5/10? Weird. I guess if the Helghast ever invade Yankee stadium, TB'll be in their glory. :p
