" For some reason this has even more cut scenes than the last game, and yet we still kept forgetting which bald space marine we were meant to be."
...and with that quote we illustrate a garbage review in its purest form and a hater in his natural habitat. KZ has no bald space marines. Ironically the ISA protagonists have grown more hair not less. You play as faux hawked Sev, the SAME guy as last game. Nice that Metro didn't need to play the game to review it. Or...
No one's telling anyone what to enjoy, comparing lineups is easy cuz it's empirical. You either have the games or you don't. It doesn't depend on who you ask and won't change anymore than a sports team's starting lineup will change depending on who you ask.
If one team has Gretzky, Messier, Oates, Shanahan, MacInnis, Joseph and the other team has AHL rookies led by Stu Barnes...it ain't rocket science who has the better lineup.
Lame argument. Superheroes don't go to pilot school lol. You think Green Lantern took the taxi to Oa for the first time or that Thor was the prince of lightning before he was the god of thunder?
IF you want to be a flier, if, you can upgrade your abilities later to go faster, do divebombs, make quick escapes etc. There's lots of accomplishments to be had. This is about fun, not endless grinding.
Environments aren't lacking either. You go from ...
Yeah, 'til they're all downloadable in one shot and I can just plow through 'em all one week ;).
I'd like to have them all on my XMB in one group too instead of broken up by other PSN games and demos in between them. I know it's kinda petty, but I like how my free PSPlus Sam & Max games are all together. I wish you could customize the order games appear in your XMB other than just by date downloaded or most recently played.
Yakuza 3 is at the million mark. It's the most successful Yakuza game to date.
Yakuza 4 is already close to 600,000 in sales just from Japan. These games are huge over there, no surprise.
@Anthrax
Allergic to good games much?
Oh my. The irony in a one-trick pony using the 'repetitive' word lol. It's 2011 Yahtzee. Feel free to stop dialing it in and just hang up the phone. lol
Why does he complain the PS3 got it late when the 360 and Wii didn't get it at all? Minus points for console exclusivity now, lol? PC gets games later (eg. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood) all the time.
Anyways, the demo was fun and it sounds like 2011's first (and maybe last, lol?) good movie inspired game. Or games. Will probably wait for a 5 episode bundle and get 'em all at once.
Are we seriously comparing Limbo to KZ3 now? Jeebus. Never thought I'd hear that Killzone should take inspiration from 'Braid-boy goes to Silent Hill'. I'll remember all these new shooter standards when Gears 3 comes out.
Story, story, story. How many times did that guy mention it? I remember him from Gamespot's Demon's Souls GOTY video and they didn't even bring up story there as much. Funny because it's an RPG but has practically no story progression to speak of.
I guess it didn't matter because the gameplay was so good, so why hold an FPS to such high narrative standards when it's all about gameplay and presentation? Where's Left4Dead 2's story for that 9/10...
@Markus
Wow. No camping? You never tried capturing control points against INVISIBLE players tucked away in corners I take it.
The skins sucked. Sorry. Obviously High Moon agree since they're now using the actual licensed charachters for MP instead of diaclone colored knockoffs. When they blend into the backgrounds that ain't good.
I'll disagree with you about movie games again for Bond. If you want to scratch off Goldeneye N64 for some r...
Almost every MGS game ties into the story. The only ones that don't are the PSP Ac!d card games, the NES non-Kojima Metal Gear Snake's Revenge and the Gameboy's Ghost Babel.
Let's recap:
Metal Gear...MSX, NES, PS2 (on Subsistence)
Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake...MSX, PS2 (on Subsistence)
Metal Gear Snake's Revenge...NES
Metal Gear Solid...PS1, PC, Gamecube (Twin Snakes remake)

Spider-man 2 was already a good movie game. So was Goldeneye.
Didn't like the multiplayer much in War 4 Cybertron. The skins were terrible, all you ever saw were the same 3-4 repaints of the same body types. How many blue Optimus Leader class and Bumblebee Scout class do we need, lol? Maps were all samey looking, Unreal Tournyish. Levelling up took too long for platinum, lag issues, no way the best of 2010. Bad Company 2 was way better, until Vietnam broke it.

@xbox-threesixty
Phantasy Star Universe 360 is NOT massively multiplayer online.
It has a 20 hour max single player campaign and all the online is, is missions that have a max of up to six people in a party and you don't ever see or come across anyone else in the online world outside of lobby/commerce zones, like the lobby zones in GTA4.
Quote from Gamespot:
"Up to six players can be in a party, and once you start a mission, you...
I know, I saw lots of comments disappointed in there not being a jump button for example and the dated Unreal engine.
Personally I just found the gimmick of 'kill with skill' wore out too quickly. The story and level design didn't hold my interest enough to warrant more playthroughs *shrugs*. The fact a baddy gets impaled on a cactus or run over by a tram is only funny the first time. The Punisher last gen' had funner environmental kills in its demo imo than...
@Fail
Do you even play games, or just troll DCU articles? What is this, #10 for you?
I know you haven't had an MMO on the 360 sice 2006's half-hearted Final Fantasy 11, but get over it.
The odds of the demo being the best 10-15 minutes of the game and the other 6+ hours around it taking a sudden turn for the worse in every conceivable way shape and form are very, very slim.
Unless the graphics suddenly tear and go sub-HD, the controls change, the charachters start talking about Jersey Shore and the online turns into an RTS...I think it's pretty safe to know what to expect now.
The controls are great. I'm addicted to brutal melee. I f...
We'll see if some of these journo's still have review parity when Bulletstorm and Crysis 2 come out. Alien shooters # 823 and 824, Unreal Engine game #197, New York City environment #635. When chaining crotch shots IS the story.
We'll see.
Played it already. It really isn't that innovative at all imo.
Bionic Commando arm.
Stranglehold/Heavenly Sword/Max Payne sniper bullet cam'.
Dante's Inferno big dino-demon helper.
No jump button.
Typical weapons (Carbine/pistol/grenade launcher) and explosive barrels.
Repetitive closed arena battles.
Enemies say the same thing over and over and over again ("suffer...suffer").
Skill point kills are ...
