Quite true. The peeps always targetting KZ (like 2pac) are inadvertantly adding to its mystique and allure. Quit using it as a benchmark if you want it to go away. Why not bring up Far Cry, Medal of Honor, Doom, L4D or Half Life instead? Why is Killzone 1UPsmanship always such a desired notch in the belt if it sucks so bad? *hint*...It doesn't.
I agree. It's like a cult where they don't play anything else. They'll gladly donate $30-$45 to overpriced map packs with COD4 retreads and more of the same snowed in bases, but they won't invest that same money into superior games. Makes no sense.
Omg...I can't WAIT until Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3 and Gears 3 come out so I never have to hear about these 2 games being the prettiest girl at the dance ever again.

Different reviewer this time too. Guess Thunderbolt realised that Richard Murphy probably shouldn't be reviewing sci-fi FPSs as his KZ3 review was in all honesty fubar. So they gave Crysis to Edward Love. Smart move.
You assume too much. The fall/winter of 2009 brought games like Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, Batman AA and AC2 to the mix so of course people with at least a modicum of good taste decided to move on and sample some more GOTY contenders.

If Gears 2 and Halo 3 are still the most played games online with a particular demographic I actually find that pretty sad. I don't see the appeal in only playing one old game all year when there'...

You're right, KZ3 can't do dips to 16fps, sub-HD res', poor AI, weapons that randomly stop firing, massive pop-in, screen tearing, afterthought 3D and 12 player online (it does 24). How will it survive?! *facepalm*
So full of fail. The shrubs in Crysis are still paper thin like COD. Look at them sideways. Then look at the jungle plants in KZ3 from the side and you'll see they actually have THICKNESS to the shrubbery. The stems and leaves have girth, they're not flat models using 10 year old tricks like Crysis 2 is.
Uncharted 2 has some of the best textures in the business. Best water and snow. You have no idea what you're talking about if you think GOW3 is blurry. For one ...

RE4 and Code Veronica aren't available on XBox period, so if they do multiplat' HD remakes of those, don't act like you wouldn't buy them.
Movies and music get remastered and reissued all the time. Star Wars is next to get a BluRay HD reissue, so what's wrong with a BluRay HD game reissue? No one's forcing you to abandon your precious VHS collection if you don't want to.
That'd be interesting. There's sites like Gamecritics and Edge that hate almost everything, and there's also inconsistent sites like the Thunderbolts out there that slap a 10/10 on everything Halo and COD related yet pull out the 5's for KZ3. They should be measured by the same standards.
Question is, who would rate them? Themselves? The user review system there is already broken. Lotsa 0's on there from people you can tell have never played the games. ...
Day 1 buy. One of the most balanced online games ever. Even as a foot soldier, I could hold my own against a jet or tank with the proper tools.

1) Maybe they're not the same people? There's more than just 5 people that post here genius. I wasn't even on here when Alan Wake/Heavy Rain released last year.
2) Gabe Newell hated the PS3 for YEARS until Portal 2 was announced. Google it. 360's pied pipers do the same thing all the time. Poor example.
Trolls said the same thing about LBP1 when it was released. Then when it sold over 4 million and won several industry GOTYs, instead of eating crow they all just went silent and moved on to other games. Like GT5.
Then GT5 sold 5 million and those trolls again went silent and rather than fessing up...moved on to the next game.
Here we go again.

Seeing as Halo 3 ODST and Halo Wars both scored LESS than that, yeah you're right.
There's been 3 Halo games this gen' and none of them have scored better than KZ2. Oh snap!
My collection is at least 50/50, so of course exclusives matter to me. The quality is there, so why not? This year, I've already bought 4 console exclusives compared to only one multiplat', and that multiplat' even came with an exclusive bonus of its own.
Ignoring so many AAA exclusives in one year ain't indicitive of anything other than different tastes. Titles like LBP2, inFamous 2, Resistance 3 and Last Guardian are all vastly different from eachother yet...
