Pretty straightforward to me.
Funny that the 360's sales dipped more while the PSN was down than the PS3's, which actually peaked not once but twice. Didn't see that coming.
I know, what an odd term to suddenly run up the flagpole, taking precedent over things like a lower tearing avg on the PS3 version and a slightly higher FPS. It's like...what? Shouldn't the PS3's exclusive 3D technically win this new 'realism' category since it's, you know, 3goddamD lol?!
So objectively the PS3 MK had less tearing, better mip-mapping, higher FPS, equal loading, exclusive 3D, exclusive Kratos and a better D-pad (since Shawn always bring...
@gamingdroid
I used to work as a skip tracer, lots of fraud accounts, you're overexaggerating about the name/addy/birthday PSN thing.
Your SSN/NID# are way more important to conceal. Name&addy going out mean little. I can get all that AND someone's phone# by looking in the phone book, an online directory like Blackbook, or by calling directory assistance. I know people who have even activated cable/internet/phone services under kids' names lol. Google ...
Umm, this list isn't even accurate.
How is Demon's Souls on there at 89 when GOW Collection (91), MLB09 The Show (90), MLB10 The Show (91) aren't? CVG can't count I guess.
Still at it after they said they were done? You mean they lied? Buh buh, how is that possible? Could they have lied about other things too? I'm shocked! /s
On a sidenote, what's with the dorky catchphrases? Who the #$% can say "we are legion" that much with a straight face? Quoting the Exorcist with some "never forgive/never forget" country lyrics makes you teh badd@ss1? Legion of what, Legion of Doom? Hawk and Animal are hackers? "Uhhhh what ...
One could ask him the same question reversed. Why keep beating a dead horse just to fill a 'Flamebait Friday' quota? I'm not kidding, that's what he calls it. Classic pessimism vs optimism.
For a buncha supposed hacker geniuses they really are killing their cause and looking like they have a deathwish in the process.
So these hackorzz1 know Sony is working with 3 security firms, the FBI, the Dept of Homeland Sec, fraud databases, they just made a statement to congress and are now being watched like a hawk...and they're thinking NOW is a good time to poke the bears with another stick?! Omg, can you paint any bigger a bullseye on yourself lol? You're basi...
Or maybe you've been playing a lil' too much Metal Gear Solid? Not everything's a triple-cross conspiracy. ;)
You didn't even read the article yet are all caps about it. The article's WRONG. It's not talking about being logged in, it's saying once logged in you still have to go to the PS Store to redeem your code for online. That's false. I've never done that once, I always go to 'redeem codes' under 'account management' in the XMB. Store doesn't need to be up to play MK online if you bought it new.
Who in their right mind is actually paying for PlayStation Plus
Wow MMGN/Ben Salter, what an unecessary troll dig. I was once a skeptic but after trying a 3 month plan I liked it because:
Cloud Storage. Demon's Souls save finally safe.
PS Plus DCUO beta convinced me to buy the game.
Exclusive 30+ MvC3 avatar bundle rocks.
Never would've tried Sam&Max otherwise ($35 value) and I enjoyed it.
Got Dead Na...
Exactly. Nerds? Uh, there are literally millions of people pissed right now that someone would show any interest in their personal information, CC# and all the potential hassle pertaining thereto. I work with a couple 230-250lb beefcakes that would love to take Guy Fawkes out back right about now. Don't be naive Kotaku.Stereotypical videogame nerds are not representative of the total people affected by this. Even Obama has a Wii.
Anon should be wary now that people have s...
@IHateufanboys
You said Anon' is a collective that act in coordinated ways to achieve a goal'. Sony in turn said it was "a very carefully planned, very professional, highly sophisticated criminal cyber attack." Umm, that fits your definition pretty much to a tee.
If in these Hackers' eyes they are a part of Anon', who are you to say they're not "official members" just because it wasn't all of them? Isn't that kind of the...
Jails are full of people who say they're innocent, that they're the victims and didn't do anything wrong. Just the cops 'hating' on them. Anon' is now no different. Just a buncha common crooks spouting 25 year old Bart Simpson "I didn't do it" catchphrases behind a veil of hypocrisy and credit cards. Way to go guys. I wouldn't plan any public demonstrations/protests any time soon unless you want your Guy Fawkes masks to go where no mask has gone befor...
@bwazy
Each region gets a free game in addition to Plus. Plus is just one perk on the list, it's not the only perk. This has been repeated ad nauseum. I'm happy cuz I'm also getting a free 30 days of DCUO on top of the on top of.
Far as Plus, it's a heckuva lot easier opening Plus to everyone rather than issuing out email codes for a buncha avatars/themes/DLCs/discounts and trials to 77 million accounts, half of which are probably sub-accounts with mad...
So another article from a past-his-prime spectacled balding man pretending to be hip to this generation's ubiquitous standards. Huzzah! Sony apologises and bows for 7 seconds & people complain it ain't 8. News at 11. At the end of the day, the wrongs are made right. If the public says "apology accepted" as appears to be the case in CNet's own user comments, let it be. Don't exacerbate it.
You're getting a $15-$20 game too (they said it'll vary by region, and many people have multi-region accounts so you could score like 3 free games technically), plus they said there's MORE welcome back campaigns to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
PS Plus free 4 a month gets you further discounts and other things like full game trials and early demos/betas that some people might like. Themes and avatars don't expire either. You can play a lot of free games i...
Did Eurogamer just say one of MS' advantages over Sony right now is it's a trusted brand? MS is a saint now?
Off the top of my head: RROD, E74, denying free XBL content&patch downloads (ask Valve re. L4D and TeamFortress), IE browser security issues, government anti-trust investigations, its own share of lawsuits and underperforming operating systems (Vista) and peripherals (Zune). Come on Eurogamer, revisionist history doesn't work when we're still talki...
Good article retort as the Gamasutra piece (and a majority of its talkback) are overwhelmingly tabloidesque even if it's off-topic and includes revisionist history (I've never read so many pro-RROD posts, lol). You're a sycophant if you disagree *rollseyes*. Andrew Polishlastnameciszski and Robert/Rod Boyd never concede any points, and even Jerry Hall has to get in that Sony makes good games "just not lately". Just waiting for a Bluray sucks post.
@pepbizmo
Agreed 110%. Customisation is awesome. I always get good stuff from sites like these http://www.ps3-themes.com/ . Whoever disagreed with you is a fool.
The Japan incident affected employees that live there and work there, Sony and Nintendo alike. They're probably exhausted. Hideo Kojima even issued an open letter http://www.nintendo-univers... .
From a business standpoint it also caused them to delay games like Motorstorm Apocalypse, Yakuza: Of The End and cancel Disaster Report while st...
