I thought this post was a joke, and then I checked the article and it's not a joke. We're comparing Minecraft old-gen vs new-gen now? Whatever makes you happy I guess.
@VIIIAxelLea Same here! I really hope they release it this year but I'm afraid they won't. I guess Jan-March next year? I'm extremely happy they are going the ARPG route.
If they take advantage of the hardware, it should run better on PS4. It's just a simple matter of math in this case because as opposed to last-gen, there's no debate about which machine is faster. The PS4 is. This might be a developer that feels that 1080p is "barely" different to 720p or what have you, which is of course not true.
Exclusive games will show what platform has the most power, and so far PS4 is clearly showing it's the faster one. Sunset Ov...
Volumetric clouds/fog look fantastic, can see how well that can be used in other games. Also very disappointed by the October release date though.
On October 7 and 8;
Alien Isolation
Shadow of Mordor
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Driveclub
A week after, Oct 15:
Batman
Expensive two weeks.
Hope it's next-gen only! I can't wait to see what they got cooking, Netherrealms make the best fighting games in my opinion. Especially for single player people like myself with the decent length _proper_ story mode (not what Capcom calls story mode) and all the fun challenges like Tower in MK9 and Lab in Injustice.
It's true but local co-op (split/quad screen) is such a resource hog that most developers are going to pick higher fidelity and higher framerate over that unfortunately. The next best thing is if they support local lan. I remember playing Halo local lan with two Xboxes (the very first ones) with two TV sets and it was awesome fun. All you need is for your friend to bring over his Xbox/PS. Having said that, I don't know if any games this new generation will support Lan play on consoles...
If any gameplay video is up on Gamersyde I always download that one over all the other garbage. Their quality is unmatched. Youtube really doesn't do this new generation justice.
Definitely will be playing it with it turned off. Then when I am ready for team multiplayer I'll do that.
I don't really care about the existence of micro transactions as long as I can get a full experience without them. I'm excited about this game, and like with nearly all games I'll buy the main game and not buy any DLC. Plenty of games that have had micro transactions have been lots of fun if you just want to experience the $60 game you bought. Yes some games do it really badly, but most do a pretty good job.
It's BS that there's less triple A games this generation. There's just a lot more indies than there were.
And triple A budgets don't have three times the budget, that's BS too. Look at Infamous and Suckerpunch. They still have the same relatively small team they had on Infamous 2 and pushed out an amazing triple A title with Second Son.
If anything, I think you are going to see more and more indies with better graphics than before due to ...
I'm really looking forward to it.
Alien Isolation, Shadow of Mordor and now Dragon Age on the same day. And the week after? Batman. Nice way to space out game releases...
Major drought the first 6 months this year with only really 2-3 titles in the first 6 months for me (Infamous, Watch Dogs and Child of Light). In June, the 6th month of the year, UFC, Murdered Soul Suspect and maybe TLOU Remaster.
Reason I would get a Vita (again) would be for Crisis Core, Birth By Sleep and the title formerly known as Agito. Bonus would be remote play, Tearaway and Muramasa Rebirth. Shame those titles aren't looking likely to appear on the store anytime soon.
@SniperControl People like you need to experience VR for themselves before making ignorant statements like that.
This is the biggest hurdle for VR adoption IMO, people who have no idea what the immersion is like and can't experience it by just looking at an internet video.
You have to experience it _yourself_ before you can have a valid opinion.
Technically this is really easy to do. Considering the particle setup they already implemented had this would be a few hours of work at most. Fun easter egg though.
I think gameplay wise they did a good job from my time with the game but I definitely expect more graphically out of a next-gen fighter game. It wasn't a purchase for me because I've come to expect the great single player mode that MK and Injustice had. I also expect their next-gen titles to look pretty amazing.
Also expect Capcom to deliver some graphical punch whenever they decide to make a next-gen fighter but with them as well I hope they put more effort into a g...
Out of all the things in the prequel trilogy I think most people thought the pod racers were pretty awesome.
Don't get troll comments like "even in this "measley" 720p video". Sure, if you're committed to the Xbox One it's not a big deal, but lets say you have both machines wouldn't the choice be pretty clear? Just like if you had a really high end PC with 1440p+ capable TV/Monitor you'd pick that version for the best experience?
If XB1 is your choice for UI/Kinect reasons I get it, but comments like these on specific games I don't get. Of...
What's special about this SP campaign from what you saw in this 30 minute video? Kill enemy, man turrets, some bad looking set pieces, rins and repeat. If it looked freakin' awesome then I'd buy it because I'm like that but the character models are bad, the facial animations are bad. Gunplay looks decent, but not $60 decent and definitely not innovative in any way.
They know their tech though. They've produced the best looking Xbox One title so far with Ryse. As for 8GB not being enough, that should be a 'duh' for anyone. Developers can use as much as hardware manufacturers can afford to give them. Even 64GB would not be enough to allow developers to do everything they could imagine (of course there's a balance between amount of RAM and how much your GPU/CPU, bandwidth etc. can handle at 30 fps so it's a lot more intertwined than pre...
