It's all relative though. Look at CGI 7 years ago. Or 12 years ago. I think gaming has surpassed that :P. Of course offline rendering of CGI will always have the advantage of time, meaning it can take hours per frame and be acceptable. It doesn't need to worry about refreshing at 30 frames per second or more.

So a bit of a duh comment based on the headline alone (yes, I have not read the article).

RobbinandShoppin is the reason I don't play online. I work full-time for a living, often 60+ hour weeks. I love Mortal Kombat, but the fact that they didn't include a mute option for the other player you're playing against makes it really annoying to play online. All those douche bags. Glad this video made a little bit of news. Like the guy who beat him in the end said, show good sportsmanship. His friend wasn't good, just wanted to have fun, shouldn't mean he should have ...

Kind of. If you are connected online. For those that are completely offline, and only buy physical copies, they can play their games for as long as they want. The OS updates needed to play the games are on the disc. So if you're really paranoid and think companies are going to remove games that you have bought (they would be sued and loose, and they know this so it won't happen) then stay off-line.

Yes, you'll lose out on patches that fix games that at release hav...

I'll get MGS:V because it will most likely be a great game, but yes, Konami has really been f'ing up lately PR wise. They are not looking good as a company.

@Septic Don't get all the disagrees. What are they disagreeing with? I don't see the point either. I think anyone who spews out so much hatred and puts so much effort into it reaching as wide of an audience possible are attention seekers and have serious mental health issues. That this game went up and got to exist on Steam for two days is odd to me.

Apples and oranges. You can't compare two different devs approaches to implementing TressFX. So you can't compare Tomb Raider's TressFX PS4/XB1 to Witchers TressFX XB1, and therefore you can't compare Witcher's console TressFX to Witcher PC's Hairworks.

You guys are jumping to so many conclusions. How do you know its greed? Looking at what they released is included in the $40, I am definitely getting the season pack. You guys are acting like you are not getting a full game if you don't get the season pack -- which you have no way of knowing. If the main game is like Arkham City in scope and length, and the season pass is extra on top of that, I am not concerned. You guys get worked up so easily. Seriously. Like kids who don't get all...

@subtenko So we shouldn't teach kids not to be bullies? We should teach kids to put up with it? Wow... just wow.

Hey, while we are at it, lets teach kids how to tolerate pain better instead of punishing people who beat up other kids.

@dboy You start off saying bullying is bad, then go onto basically justify it. If you don't understand what it's like to be severely depressed and severely bullied, you shouldn't have an opinion. If you have been both, and you have tough skin, good for you, but there's zero excuses for bullying.

It's the "she wore the wrong dress so it's partly her own fault she got raped" argument" applied to bullying.

I've never b...

I think some of you misunderstand the value of DLC. The cynicism of the internet assumes DLC is all about greed but as usual there's a mixture of greedy developers and developers who use DLC to bring players more content they wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

For most developers, making games isn't a huge money making business. DLC is most of the time budgeted for, even when included on disc.

If they knew they couldn't calculate extra inco...

@DxTrixterz DmC's gameplay was freakin' awesome, so I couldn't disagree with you on that point. It was also reviewed really well. The graphics/visual style was better in DMC4, but DmC had some of the best combat I've ever played.

I do agree with points 1-3.

Expect nothing less from Driveclub! Still amazes each time I play it or watch it.

I don't understand why DICE would get such hate, but it is the internet after all. I recently got a fresh reminder why I don't like playing online against strangers. It seems behind anonymity most people are assholes. I haven't built up enough good people on my PS4 friend list to cover the games I play.

I look forward to Battlefront a lot, but I will most likely only play the SP part because of this reason -- unless I happen to find enough good people to play wit...

There's zero reason for SW:BF not to look that good on the PS4. Ubisoft set a bad precedent with Watch Dogs and it's got everyone sceptical. AC Unity looked as good as the early alpha footage (but it had bugs, that's not related), Driveclub looks fantastic and they've even added demanding weather features on top of what was already a beautiful game, Ryse looked incredible at _launch_, Infamous Son Second Son awesome, Witcher 3 looks amazing.

Plus take this int...

Clickbait, misleading title, as usual... Just worded carefully enough so they can't be called liars.

E3 is just a bit over 7 weeks away, I think we'll have to wait until then for gameplay. Would love to be proven wrong.

This I agree with completely. But Amazon hasn't really shown that they are interested in going down that avenue yet with their new strategy.

Double Helix is still pluggin' away at KI, and maybe a new title who knows (I liked their current-gen Strider). I'm interested to see where Amazon is heading with their games acquisitions. Hopefully it will be in a positive direction.

Crytek gets more hate than they deserve. Far Cry 1 was great, Crysis 1 was great, Crysis 2 and 3 were both fun even if they weren't as good as 1. Homefront 2 was looking really interesting based on the interviews and gameplay footage they showed off (not talking about the trailer, but the actual gameplay).

Ryse was terrible, but a lot of launch games had that issue. It's tough to get a quality game out day and date with the launch of a new console. Unless you're N...

Gaming Bolt fishing for clicks with somewhat misleading title. This is a non-news item. Now if the title would have been "Upcoming trailer for Batman will reveal new character", that would have been more appropriate. Saying it's "looking sweet" without context suggests it's out.

I also like how Gaming Bolt turned up the gamma on MKX to make the PS4 version look washed out in comparison to the PC version when they look nearly identical. MKX is not a...

@Spotie: Seconded... Sony nor Devs have not said it doesn't work properly in ages. There are still things they are working on, mostly user feedback and new features. I follow them on Facebook and they are candid.

It should have had a more thorough beta and the launch should have been pushed back again and that will always haunt Driveclub's legacy the way it was at launch. Today, right now, and since 2 months after release, it's been a fantastic game.
