Exactly, that's why I've been contemplating getting a Vita. I already download the PS+ Vita games so I'll have stuff to play lol.
If they announced a bundle that would be very cool. They could support cross buy/play titles and what not.. I think remote play is something they would want to focus on a lot. That way you can stream LBP while you're on the toilet..
*Mostly off-topic side note: That LBP announcement today.....is going to be some sort of competition..no new game. :( Every time! I promised myself I wouldn't do this..*sobs*
Ah, Christmas 2009. I got my PS3.
Now, I've unboxed many consoles before this (back to the GameBoyAdvance, I believe), but this is the one I remember the most (I had/have a GameCube, Wii, GBA, GB SP, DSLite, DSi, PS3, and 360..and soon, a PS4. I've played the N64 (Smash Bros.) and PS2, but never owned them.)
Anyway.. So that Christmas, my dad tried to trick me and make me think I had no presents. To my surprise, when I got home (after a full day of ...
I agree. Their PR was crap initially. Then it got worse lol. Then it got better, and has slowly but surely been getting better, and now MS is starting to gain momentum going into Gamescom.
At first, I wasn't giving Xbox the time of day after ther initial reveal. But after these 180s, it's become much more appealing. If only they did it earlier (I preordered the PS4 the day after E3, and I may have preordered an Xbox, but it's too late for all that). Now I'm a...
Niiiice. The more JRPGs the better. Definitely keeping my eye on this one.
Sony has a game sharing feature similar to Microsoft's, and at no cost (by that I mean no PS+). For one, you can download full PS3 and PSN games for up to two systems (it used to be 5). Also, for any console that has a PS+ account on it with games downloaded - another account can play those games. One PS+ account is enough for all other PSN accounts on the console, similar to Home Gold.
I don't know about Sony's cloud features. Maybe they can implement something ...
@Outlawed
I'm pretty sure DICE said that they either are at 1080/60, or are targeting it (for consoles). Hope is not lost just yet haha.
Maybe those mid-2014 rumors were true? Maybe...
Gold, to me, basically allows me to play online. It doesn't offer much more in my opinion. I'm not saying that the online sucks or anything, I'm just saying that's all it is to me. Online multiplayer access. If they brought something new to the table (or something to compete with PS+), that'd be great. All I'm saying is, when my Gold subscription expires (1 year after whenever I get an XB1), I'm not going to be in a hurry to renew like I would for PS+.
Comeback? There's nothing to come back from lol. Mobile gamers (who are usually casual ones) jump and jump to what's popular. They never stay in one place for too long. Core gamers continually support consoles and the games made for them (as long as they're not being screwed with).
I agree with this. I'm getting an Xbox, but I'm getting a PS4 first because it does basically everything the Xbox does at $100 cheaper (besides Kinect, which isn't required anymore)and (in my opinion) better games, as well as a better track record of games and support for PS3. I'm awaiting the unannounced games from their other studios. But I'll be getting an Xbox for Halo, Gears, Forza, Titanfall, and Dead Rising, and to play with my side of the family that plays on Xbox....
I assume that lots of people are saving up for next gen consoles and games, it's all good. Nothing to see here.
I talked about a 3D LBP in my other comments about it too lol. I'm TOOOO HYPED now! The share button would go hand-in-hand with the PS4, you're right.
Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap. If this is LBP 3... I want it to be LBP 3 soooo bad! I've been wishing for this in previous comments lol.
I wish they'd use internal, rechargeable batteries, but it's only a minor annoyance/setback. As long as I can play Gears, I'm fine. And if it's as long as the 360's, I'm A-Okay.
I just hope we won't see "Deeper Down: It's Dark Down Here" a year from when it releases...
OT: Can't wait to get this game (although it seems a long ways away). DEM GFX! That engine is stunning, next-gen graphics right there.
I think it's great that it can work without Kinect. When I get the XB1 next year I'll probably leave it plugged in (save for certain situations), but when I want to take my console elsewhere, I'm glad I'll have less to lug around.
Side note: Didn't they say that the Kinect was built into the console and all that? Just like the DRM? I'm not denying that this is good news for people like me, I'm just saying.

From the article:
"After a Microsoft-hosted London event around the Xbox One reveal, Xbox's UK marketing director Harvey Eagle has said that the console will not function without Kinect connected."
This seems to be no longer the case, but it was true.
Hell yeah! If this is true, I'm going to try and pick up their console when Titanfall comes out (instead of Halo like I planned). PS4 is still day one for me, but that's freaking great. It'll be much easier to take to a relatives house - less cords and what not.
You obviously didn't read the article. Run along now.
