Wait so... SR4 was initially refused classification, but this was cleared with no problem? Probably because they know it'll make AU some money with taxes, lol.
IW's definition of dynamic is knocking a couple of logs over. (I KID)
All jokes and playful jabs aside (that's all the above was, lol), their dynamic stuff is..interesting. That Freefall map sounds interesting. I don't see how it won't be the standard COD with some extra commotion, and some extra (baked) destruction. Not saying that's a bad thing. It's embracing its arcade-style nature. It's good that they're making changes.
It is easy to develop for... What do you mean they're holding back? Of course they aren't going to be able to realize the full potential of the machine right out of the gate. Honestly, I'd want them to hold back. I don't want all the potential beauty to be realized at launch. Just because they're "holding back" doesn't mean it's hard to develop for like you seem to be implying (if you aren't implying that, my bad).
I'd assume so. The hardware is great, games can be pushed further and can be better optimized to be pushed even further. Plus, it'll be in a lot of people's homes (millions) by then.
It's supposed to be slow. You're supposed to wait, observe, and listen -- not just shoot shoot kill shoot. Most of the cutscenes weren't even that long. But they were movie quality. What's bad about that?
I can see that. My uncle lives in Germany and he, as well as a lot of his relatives who live there, play on PC. He liked Need for Speed a lot. Well..those are my $0.02.
Oh, author, your bait has opened the floodgates, I see.
Could not disagree more. It's a fantastic game in just about every aspect of it, in my opinion. You deserve NO hits!
@jack
I don't believe they did. I'm pretty sure they just said 15 exclusives for the first year.
Example: Titanfall is being touted as an Xbox One exclusive. It's 3rd party (made by Respawn, published by EA I believe). 3rd party counts towards the total.
Your comment made my eyes bleed. You gave me a headache. I need to lay down for a while.
I sure hope so. That gameplay demo certainly put it on my radar. Mirror's Edge + Dead Island + Left 4 Dead? Yes please.
Although, the combat looks a little clunky, like Dead Island. It seems I'd have to stop the momentum of running to fight (something I hated to do in Mirror's Edge).
But still, the free running and atmosphere at night already sold me on the game, so I hope it lives up to expectations.
Typhosion is definitely my pick for the coolest, with an extremely close second being Charizard, followed by Blaziken, Absol, and Deoxys.
"Xbox 1 architecture not fully complete. Latest version of SDK from a couple of weeks ago dropped performance by 15-20% across the board. He says this thing happens all the time as a part of console development, and will eventually get fixed. But there is NO chance of early October release..."
"Late October Launch is set for PS4. Sony's SDK is fully ready, and you can basically "master2 final right now. Today." Not sure what that means, but sounds...
That's not cool. I like to watch everything when it comes to press conferences; If I don't, I feel like I missed something. Why release snippets? If you have a good presentation, why hide parts of it? Tisk tisk MS.
Haha, that was kind of funny. The PS4 is ridiculously sleek and slim. I really like the design. But.. What will the inevitable 'slim' version be like? 0_o Paper?
I like to play those games specifically on Xbox stuff (ES and Fallout), but I usually buy two versions of ES. A friend of mine loves zombie games (a few friends, actually), but she only likes Xbox, so I'll get DL and DR3 on that. And there are certain games like Borderlands and Battlefield that my relatives like to play on Xbox.
Basically, what Praxxtor said.
Yeah, there's a 12GB PS3 SKU, only one 500GB SKU for PS4. Whoever wrote this is horribly misinformed.
@wizard
One PS+ membership is enough for all users on a console too, XB1 (Gold or bot) isn't cheaper. Nice try though.
Well, I'm getting a PS4 day one, but I can't just have one console all gen. I'll be getting the Xbox for Forza and Halo (Gears, if they announce that) and to play Dying Light on it. And the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, most likely. Oh, and to play with my friends (and mom's side of the family) online!
I'll only be downloading all my games on XB1, and I'll get disc stuff for PS4 (besides indies and PS+ stuff). I did that with my 360 already. ...
@Fun
What makes you say that? From what I've seen, gameplay looks great. Hopefully it feels great. Or... is your inner fanboy just coming out?
I can already foresee the political debates that are bound to arise, smh.
Anyway, I'd totally play with him. I'd probably play (NBA) 2K with him.
But I'd like to play with Morgan Freeman a little bit more. I would just listen to him narrate the game or something. Or I'd just play Battlefield with him.
"I've spotted an enemy tank. How should we proceed?"
I'd listen to that over and over again...
