The corporate greedy company entered the gaming industry and somehow convinced gamers they were a gaming company that cared about games. Now we are where we are and people still root for M$ for some reason. I get that there aren’t many choices but this company is the one that is most likely to put out incomplete games that lacks quality control and they’ve proven that.
I’m all about healthy competition, but M$ moves to make money any means necessary, they hype what they kn...
PS you keep your games forever as long as you’re subbed versus Gamepass where what you can only access what they choose and games go away controlling when you play.
M$ started pay for online. This is a move to pad bottom line not make a healthy industry.
Yes it hurts physical games release, gaming culture stores like GameStop too, like a million reasons Gamepass is not good for the industry, I could go on…
Should we talk about how they ...
Stellar Blade and Returnal, two amazing games for us real gamers
1.0 DLC incoming, lol, paid of course $ I’m guessing $20 for Cyberpunk style relaunch, new quests, ship stuff, etc.
I agree, it’s about building the brand to a level that it becomes niche because the games on offer are unique and better than the competitors.
Microsoft had its mojo in the 360 era but lost it. All hopes on Perfect Dark and Fable now. They could build it back quickly but choose not to. Halo could be great. Flight Sim ‘24 could be great. Microsoft is done chasing losses with these franchises it seems though and would rather put its efforts into porting than making sure their...
Drive club Bikes expansion is the most slept on DLC ever, right up there with Heavy Rain DLC
PS2 - Long Live The King Baby!
Nostalgia is always rose tinted, impossible to compare as the culture of gaming is always moving. Plus PS5 is in the middle of its life so it isn’t a complete story yet and we haven’t seen all the games.
Hardware plays a role and I think people downplay it. Are we comparing how many great games we played when we were finished with the console, how we felt the first day we unboxed it, or just its overall quality?

Games should not be locked to plastic boxes and restricted ecosystems, this is great for consumers!
The conversation about competition being healthy for the industry has perhaps changed?

Early Access is not for every preorder only Premium Edition $99.99 here in U.S.
I hate this when any game does it
You could say this about the gaming industry in general right now. Mic drop.
Typical M$ offering FOMO early access for a game that’s years old, this tells you everything you need to know.
To that point, it is likely that the lowest amount of dollars possible were spent porting this and optimizing it. These greedy corpo’s aren’t even offering a physical release so they can control the price and it keeps costs down too.
If this runs flawlessly on PS5 and Pro and takes advantage of Dualsense I’ll be shocked—but also still not paying ...
Seriously, they could pay a staff of 200 $100k a year for 4 years and that’s only 80 million. Rent at 20k a month for 4 years is less than 1 Mil. Not sure how they lose all that money.
Yup, games are made for consoles and then ported to PC now, games aren’t developed and optimized for PC and then lazily ported to console they way they used to be
Pro master race confirmed.
DF has some lame crap out about disappointing graphics this Gen, meanwhile people pay thousands for top of the line GPU’s not realizing they are made for mining and the real gamers are on console now. Pro graphics for God of War, TLoU, GT7c etc, are plenty good enough for most gamers.
It’s been this way for a while, PC gamers have been port begging for Sony exclusives since they dropped their first PC game. Now they get them mo...
90 Metacritic “Must Play” status would argue otherwise, these are “professionals” people!
PC performance sounds all over the place, patches and mods should help, have fun with that
Indiana Jones. I’ll wait for patches to these rushed ports, Xbox doesn’t have a great track record of multiple games releasing and being quality. My guess is these ports come in too hot to handle and best to wait for patches and discounts. Not even hating, hopefully I’m wrong.
I’ll stick with GT7 where tires get dull and fuel management matters.
If I want arcade I’ll pony up for Motorfest, it’s also Pro Enhanced, had a free island just release, is around $20, and takes place in Hawaii which Trumps Mexico no Pun intended lol
Over priced M$ cash grabs making people pay for FOMO early access on a years old release is gouging and I’ll pass until deep discount on this digital only ripoff.
I can see the subway tiles popping now!
Day one for sure and finally a remake for a game truly worthy of a remake.
