M$ dropped the ball launching their own exclusives, Flight Sim and Halo, so it’s not just third party devs who can’t get the game right on Xbox-ahem, Redfall, cough, but these devs said it was because of Series S and having to shoe horn the games onto that potato console.
This is the reason games aren’t on Xbox, not bc Sony paid—but bc M$ handcuffed themselves all devs/games need extra time for Xbox Series parity.
Exactly, M$ flipped the script on their own loyal fan base. They sold you hardware you didn’t need as they are all in on Gamepass. Sony is the place to play on console, you get the definitive version of every game on Pro, including Xbox games.

Would Bethesda still be the same without Creation Engine? I play Bethesda games for their “charm” no need to make them use the same tools as everyone else. You’re right though, they’re on fire atm. Hopefully they deliver another classic with ES6
Developers rely on hype and marketing to sell you day one, the reality is if you can have a shred of self control and resist the review hype and FOMO, you never have to pay full price.
It’s worth $80 to play day one if that’s what gets you going, otherwise, wait six months and buy 3 games that came out earlier in the year for the same $80
If consumers bought more physical discs more companies will continue to support physical media. Instead, people want to pay for subscriptions and never actually own anything. They scream on forums like these how great the sub model is—Now they cannot have an opinion on this because that’s being a hypocrite.

Imagine RDR2 levels of input lag and a 30fps experience and I can believe. Hopefully Pro has a VRR 40 fps mode at minimum.
When Microsoft releases its next gen console, will it have exclusives? Clearly they threw in the towel this cycle, it’ll be interesting to see what they do with the next box.
This is awesome, one console to play all the games. From Astro and Ghost, to Gears and Forza, what appears to be great for consumers is actually less choice, closer to a monopoly, and in the long run, less competition usually means less choice and higher prices for consumers. Just saying. Come on Sega and enter the battle! Sony needs competition to drive down prices.
Possibly part of their strategy, they don’t want you to buy games, they want you to sub to gamepass forever, that way they don’t actually ever sell you anything
As much as people hate on remakes and remasters there are plenty of amazing games released on last gen consoles and PS360 era that deserve to be remastered like Oblivion. I remember playing Ico remastered and having good controls and no input lag was like playing a new game compared to PS2 version.
Driveclub was so crazy back then, it got much better over time too with dlc packs. I don’t understand why some games become forgotten when they are clearly fan favorites. Cough, Bloodborne, ahem.
Yup, GT7 is great but we need Burnout or a good NFS. Would pay a lot of hard earned money for Driveclub remake, Bikes dlc was godly, or would happily day one a new Motorstorm.
Waiting for sale on Horizon like I do 90% of games—the game is old at this point not paying day one prices.
Stellar blade and Returnal plus GT7 is greater than any “exclusives” trio on any other console. Pro upgrades have been gravy as most of us normie gamers enjoy third party releases too.
I’ll say it again, GTA6 is coming and, like most other games (included those ported from other consoles), Pro will be the best version unless you sit at a desk on PC to play. Oh wait, PC version coming in 6 months to a year, don’t hold your breath.
