Those games are mid and $10-$20 Black Friday pickup games. Nobody running home to play Hifi rush or pentiment lol
Well, we all know how they “sold” on Xbox hardware. Gamepass cannibalized sales.
Forza Horizon? GT7 is better. Indy looks cool, but Halo and Gears are the big ones and I’d rather play CoD and replay Uncharted Series if I want third person cover shooter action than pay full price for these old ass games. Prolly not selling well bc PS players have GOTY nominees and winners like Astro and Black Myth Wukong to play
Samsung here with HDMI 2.1 and never noticed either, Spidey2 and GT7 with vrr run great right around 100fps for me.
DF out here acting like Series consoles and base PS5 aren’t struggling to run newer games. A stutter? Please, 60fps for the win.
True, Sony obviously released the Pro early and PSSR is still in its infancy. They launched knowing better tools are coming, DF calling it out is ultimately good clearly they game and test Pro out a lot, as they should, it’s the best place to play.
Microsoft could lend a hand and the game is a banger so don’t think it’s a skill issue. Probably more of an artistic choice to not compromise their game. Insinuating and assuming the developers are incompetent is a reach at best
I think you’re right, maybe an Ass Creed Shadows situation where they launch a few months later than expected to polish up.
I’ve been checking gaming news lately with more excitement knowing the second trailer or release day is going to be announced and it’s crickets.
The silence is deafening at this point and it does seem more likely it’ll slip to first quarter of ‘26
Agreed, but with each day that passes and we hear nothing the more obvious it becomes that Rockstar themselves aren’t sure it’ll be ready.
Oh they know Roblox and Minecraft too
Gaming needs that Sonic on Genesis or Mario64 moment. Goldeneye made me buy a N64 but damn Mario64 was amazing.
Creativity seems lacking and developers are happy making the sure hit and recycling characters and concepts to be sure of this.
I wish Sega or Atari or some long forgotten company like Neo Geo would come break the mold with a game that makes you buy the console. Road Rash on new Sega hardware would do it for me. Virtua Fighter pack in game laun...
The power of Series S
This all boils down to Microsoft’s blunder or a decision to first build this sad excuse of a console and secondly forcing devs to provide parity across S/X
Pro enhanced too just sayin
This game was in development forever and coming to PS5 no matter what Phil said—which was, “wait a while”
Switch was boosted by Zelda and the amazing team behind it
They don’t support software development or quality control, they are not a gaming company and don’t have amazing experienced developers they can outsource or loop into a project like Ninty or Sony.
So they bought up a bunch of developers…and run them like Fortune 500 or DOGE, with as few people as possible, and then expect good results.
“We will continue to make consoles, just don’t expect us to compete in the console space”
Microsoft: “We aren’t Sony or Nintendo and can’t do what they do”
Everyone: “We know”
Battle pass and constantly asking for money between every match is insanity
100 player Conquest > Anything COD has ever done
Say what you want, this years COD is value, single player, good multiplayer, and Zombies. At least they are still including all three modes.
To be fair, Nintendo is beating Sony and Microsoft will be making more hardware. Sony will too.
What we have is an unprecedented circumstance, one company admitting defeat halfway through the fight. Covid obviously didn’t help this generation at all, massive layoffs (some coming due to redundancy in staff as M$ bought many studios and downsized staff) but many supply and development issues this gen created a perfect storm that showed which company had their ducks in a row a...
N4G is now NPR
I honestly thought the headline was a bit off too, like if this guy gets arrested for assault ever in his life this won’t age well.
Game looks crispy and gives those Fallout vibes for sure! I’m keeping an eye on this one even though the name Atomfall just screams derivative meh.
Corporate greed is the sole reason it’s coming to PS5. Expect the same game. This is M$ and Bethesda trying to recoup losses and capitalize on huge PS5 player base in an attempt to fund their next lame project.
