How do you know he wasn't talking about pcf? If he recognised pcf then he could have simply googled the people to make sure that they used to work for them instead of saying that he doesn't know them. If this was a live interview then fair enough, but this was on twitter come on.
What exactly about the story was false? Development time on the PS4 is reduced because it is the more powerful console and so will require fewer optimisations.
Here's another fact, this was on twitter, Penello could have easily googled the developers and found out who they were if he didn't know already. Also, even if the dev hasn't worked on the X1, he's posting what he heard from other devs who have.
They should have still had an idea who Epic were using considering how they were working on one of MS' biggest series. Even if he genuinely didn't know them, using that as an excuse to avoid responding to what a dev has said comes off terribly. But I don't see how he could have been so stupid considering this was on twitter and he could have just googled them.
MGS has had more strong female roles than Halo has and ever will, so to criticise Kojima over this and take it as a sign that the gaming industry is failing is ridiculous. Jumping to conclusions over a character simply because of their design is what I would call lazy.
Open world games struggled? And what about Infamous 2?
If he's talking about multiplats then he should know that the reason behind that is gone for next gen considering they both have x86 architectures. So now that the X1 doesn't have the advantage of being easier to develop for, how are they going to make up the difference in hardware performance.
@Maddens Raiders: Yeah I know, but I just thought those 4 words would be enough to end it then and there.
@cl1983: Yes that is what he said, but why does that go against what I'm saying? Multiplats had no bearing on the performance of the hardware last gen considering the different architectures, that's not the case this gen. How does Gears come close to TLOU?
Any game on the 360. If games on the 360 looked the same or better then there should be at least one game that can match TLOU...
"Penello then brought up similar instances where Sony and fans of the Playstation proclaimed superior performance with the PS2 and PS3 before concluding that, "in the end, games on our system looked the same or better."
Haha, four words: The Last of Us.
Or it's sold out because there is a very limited supply.
Well if it's as they say that they received a low supply of the forza bundles then they can't really be held responsible. If it's the same case with other retailers then the bundle selling out doesn't necessarily mean much for X1 pre-order numbers.
Tbh I don't think the reviewer is at fault. The review is generally positive to say the least but the overall score is determined by the entire staff, so this appears to be a problem with the entire site rather than just the reviewer himself, though admittedly some of the negative points he raised felt quite silly. Could explain the whole review not matching up to the score.
That's not how their scoring system works, it's not just determined by the reviewer. So yeah, apparently Burning Skies > Mercenary
Given the fact that there are 4 ways to play each of the 9 levels in the single player campaign and it has a robust multiplayer based on the beta, I have no idea what the reviewer is doing giving the re playability such a low score.
Even for TLOU?
So glad I went for a 32GB now
Yup, you pre-order it and download it a few days before release then they'll allow you to play it once it's released.
Just checked. It adds to it, comes in at over 4.6 GB
