I bought into the whole "Vista" marketing, and then downgraded a month later. It froze occassionally when I used Safari, and there was almost nothing compatible for it, so I downgraded. In-game XMB has been requested massively since PS3 launched. They say they're listening, but 13 months later and I still can't acess my friends list in game.
PS3 is actually a multimedia device, and not like 360 where they try getting you to buy Vista so you can "stream" your content. 360 is a games machine. PS3 is an all in one entertainment center, and all of the content you have you can transfer over, so DivX shouldn't be different.

All that matters to the gamer is the games. Microsoft still holds exclusive rights to Gears of War, Project Gotham, Halo, and Mass Effect. You guys can poke at Microsoft all you want about them losing studios, but when it comes to the game Microsoft has all the big guns, and 2008 will only be better. How many games were due out in 07 for PS3, but got pushed to 08? Expect the same trend for Sony in 08, but expect Microsoft to continue building momentum around their games and services.

After a drop to $400 I was sure that it would outsell 360. But getting whipped by 300 000 units and even being outsold by PS2 and PSP is embarrassing. I've been waiting for a game to make me forget about my 360 and help me get back to PS3. Uncharted did that, but only for about a day(I beat it in like 8 hours on normal), but Unreal is the game that will revolutionize multiplayer gaming on consoles. Mods, Bots, 4 player campaign co-op. They probably surveyed some dumb @ss idiots who don't own a HD movie player, and are making up BS. It matters on the sales and Blu-ray is leading. That's all the Bluray side will look at and that's all the HD DVD side will look at. I guarantee you no one at HD DVD is saying "WOOH, MORE PEOPLE VOTED FOR US!!" Why aren't they cheering? Very well said. I remember the same 3 guys were on the E3 special and all the could do was bash the PS3 saying its full of empty promises and KZ2 will suck, etc. It's nice to see them all balanced this time.

About 3M people purchased Halo 3 on the first day in North America alone! There are only about half that many PS3's in North America. It's a great game, a day one purchase for me, but I think due to the lack of proper marketing this game won't do as well as it potentially could. I mean, I haven't seen it in a single advertisment whether that's on TV or even in a flyer. I really hope that'll change, because a game this great easily deserves more hype than Halo 3- a 640p remake of the XBOX orig...

Epic said that it take a few more weeks to certify it for Europe, but you should still expect it in late January. I'm not sure about server issues, but it should have no problems playing in any region around the world.
I think it would be Warhawk. UT3 offers more depth and online features in terms of maps, weapons, and user generated content, but Warhawk is just so incredibly addicting its hard not to come back to it even when there's CoD4, UT3, and Resistance.
