That's closer estimates so far, but lets wait until we get specs from Microsoft. Still, Xbox is at several major disadvantages.
High-End Console = Mid-range PC with the performance of a high-end PC, but without the general purpose that the PC does.

If CoD upgraded to the Unreal Engine 4, Battlefield 4 will have competition in the graphical department.
If it weren't for EA as much as you hate them, a LOT of game developers wouldn't have gotten the funding for the games they make. So OF COURSE THEIR JOB IS TO MAKE MONEY. They do it through marketing and proper investing.
The old man face had more to do with realistic human face characteristics, like, how the skin stretches. Being able to have a model's face to move around realistically is different than just making the face look real.
Realistic movement helps capture emotion that video game character's faces usually lack.

You make it sound like either the ps4 is vaporware or the GTX 680 isn't the price of a new console, not counting the i7 Intel CPU which also costs the price of a new console. Then there's the HDD or SSD. (EDIT: Forgot RAM)
So I can spend about $1200 and I still don't have a good keyboard, mouse, monitor, motherboard or case for everything.
Heck, maybe if I'm lucky the prices will drop and I'll only need to spend $1...

Why the heck didn't they start on PC? You can tell they ported from at least one of the two consoles. Does it look good? Yup. Does it look as good as other games? Nope.
