You don't really need to know much about video games to have an opinion on the visual style of a game especially since the company with the opinion makes their money off the their film looks.
And I totally agree with Pixar. It's such a turn-off whenever I see some super dark/ugly hyperrealistic world. All of my favorite games have great art direction. Halo, Zelda, JSRF, anything Rare has ever put out, etc.
Tera does look awesome. If I played MMOs this is what I would pick up. One reason I can't justify paying every month for a game is because the combat system in every other MMO is utter garbage compared to a more linear console RPG.
Yep yep. I hope they do the rest of the stories in it, since I never got around to that book
Are any other fans just as aggravated how ever since Reach we've seen all of these Spartans with customized armor canon-breaking armor? All of the Spartans wore near-identical armor and the Spartan IIIs didn't even have MJOLNIR armor, they had the SPI suits that were on the cover of Ghosts of Onyx.
As much as Microsoft is pushing this, a AAA Kinect game (if they even exist) is never going to achieve the same quality as a AAA traditional game.
The best use of Kinect is going to be in hybrid games like Forza, Mass Effect 3, etc. where Kinect is simply used to enhance the experience and immerse you more.
This article pretty much sums up why I still am a dedicated Halo fan. I'm still playing the fuck out of Reach.
Well I mean if you are interrupting them before they can even tell you what they are offering, that sounds a little ignorant to be honest.
But there are also a good amount of people out there who will push something a million times until the customer has to get an attitude to get them to shut up.
This hardly sounds like the employee "forced" anything. He suggested the sale of a used game first since it was cheaper, which Gamestop typically likes to do. But aside from that fact the guy doesn't really seem to explain how he was pushing the used copy beyond that.
As long as there's no iron sights, perks, 4 hour long campaigns, and annual major sequels, I don't really care what 343 do.
Even though there were, it wasn't like civilians going about their day to day lives or carrying on any sort of non-combat roles. They were in most cases, just reskinned marines.
Please god keep iron sights out of Halo. It's visually atrocious to look down them to fire your weapon. The game "looks" more fun when you can see your weapon actually firing instead of looking through a scope. Lets say you were using one of the plasma weapons and you were looking down the sights. You wouldn't see any of the cool rotating parts or lights or anything on the weapon moving. The game "looks" more fun without iron sights, thus it "feels" more ...
I already have the game pre-ordered but not because I know it will sell out. Lets say I trade in a bunch of games to gamestop and have some left over credit, I'll just put that towards the game and slowly whittle away at the price of it over time.
And it's Halo, I'm into all of the Halo mythology, backstories, etc. so even if the game turns out to be mediocre I would still want to play it to know for myself and also just for the story.
Even if the Wii U is more powerful than a PS3/360, a lot of its power is going to be used just for being able to stream the game across the controller and the television, so I don't think we should expect quite the leap of graphical quality as people are saying.
And to be honest, even if the PS4/720 are much more powerful than the Wii U (which they probably will be), Nintendo finally has an HD console which can produce huge AAA titles like Skyrim, Uncharted, etc. So even ...
I loved the hell out of this. All of the Avalanche sections were incredible, way more intense than what appears to be in the new SSX. Though I like NST's work with Wave Race more, I'd be down for another 1080 as well.
It's not really fair to get a 0 since 1up uses a letter grading scale and that's hard to translate to a number scale.
That's very true. It does end on 7/7 which we know is Bungie day.
That's pretty awesome of them, no lie.
Halo always has awesome ARG campaigns. This might be related. I could maybe also see it being Half-Life related as well maybe?
Word. If we get a new 2d Metroid it needs to be a downloadable title or a handheld title. I want my HD console Metroid to be a super deep 3d adventure
This is too late. Given that this generation is more than likely coming to an end in the next couple years, and the fact that this controller goes against how Microsoft has marketed the kinect, I don't think it would be wise to introduce a motion controller add on this late in the game.
If this is real, I think it would be wiser to have this for the next generation of Kinect and Xbox.
