If I had the money I'd get all 3 systems. Mario, Zelda, Gears, Uncharted, and MGS? Count me in.
I'm actually more of an Uncharted/Gears/Splinter Cell Conviction person than a Battlefield/COD kinda gamer. There's no doubt that this generation is DOMINATED by the FPS's though. FPSs can ultimately breakdown into a who sees who first battle.
TPS with cover systems are much more tactical and give you a chance if you get shot at from your blindside.
I actually enjoy the parallel stories, but I can see it your way. The sense of doom is what gets me and these games feel like they are building up to something. Desmond will be a BEAST when he's ready. For what, I don't know.
In addition, Nolan North helps, and the fact that the characters were more fleshed out in Brotherhood has me looking forward to Revelations.
(Not a spoiler) The ending to ACB was so confusing that it'd be wrong just to leave it at that. I love the series so far, but this has to be a much bigger change than ACB was to AC2 otherwise it would be milking.
More flashbacks and make the story more personal! Of course a whole shitload of new gameplay features locations too.
