Exactly. The secondary options on the guns alone separate it from ALL FPSs. This guy must've played 2 matches and left.

You can't be serious. First off there's really not a lot of camping. Secondly you actually play as a team and hold sections of the map as you fend off the opposition. Third the amount of shots it takes to go down make it NOTHING like COD. Each encounter with a player is an all out battle, much like Halo. In COD you hide and pop off 2 shots from behind a crate to kill everyone.
Definitely play Peace Walker if you want to know more about the Boss. It'll tell you EXACTLY why she's the Boss. The audio files alone make it worth it for any MGS fan.

I feel the same way. Besides the pretty visuals (really pretty) I don't see where the MP as changed really. I'm getting it for the SP anyway.
Don't know if it was in Brotherhood, but my target has this "lock" thing and stays on the top of buildings. When my target "locks" me he comes flying off the building and lands right on me-instant kill. That alone makes the MP beta garbage to me.

I'd agree with you, but every FPS is compared to COD. COD is the holy fucking grail of FPS to a lot of people. Now COD is taking things from other games rather than revamping their own game? I see it turning into the next tony hawk a few years from now.

Copying crysis AND battlefield at the same time? Seems like this should be the standard mode IMO. Adds strategy and minimizes camping. 2 things COD needed to work on.

I always sort of envied the gameplay in Splinter Cell because its always been better than MGS's stealth IMO. This is coming from a diehard MGS fan. But the story is SC is not interesting to me at all. I just played conviction, which is regarded as the best story in the series, and its was pretty boring story wise. The gameplay was GREAT on the hardest difficulty though.

You're not alone. Another horrid thing about MGS4 was the codec. TO MGS fans the codec is essential in character development, humor, and finding out things your didn't know about the MGS universe.

I found MGS3 to be the best alongside Peace Walker. I've ALWAYS enjoyed the tragedy of Big Boss more than Solid Snake's MGS2/4 stories. MGS1 was perfect though.
I disagree about the better tan Bioware part. To me its a good game, but the reading has become tiresome. The E-Books should have been voiced like Bioshock's audiofiles. I also feel that the art style makes everything in the game look the same.

Well is it cancelled or what? I was always skeptical about how they pushed for cutting things. I was hoping that that wasn't all the game had to offer, but the lack of info is making me think that's it.
MW2 was just too much. The simplicity of COD4 is what drew me in, but the kill rewards in MW2 were ridiculous. I'm prepared for a solid experience if they tone things down. The fact that you can have a sniper rifle as a secondary is a bad sign though.
