Not really, unless you call needing 2 body shots with even the SV98 in the BF3 Beta "overpowered." Semi auto, heck yeah 2 shots is fine, maybe 3 which they are. But a bolt action? lolno. I mean the balancing is good for gameplay, unless you're a sniper. Bolt actions should be 1 shot kill in the chest 95% of the time.
I'll say 3-4 Million first week including preorders, 5-6.5 Million about 3 weeks in and that'll top it out but it'll grow slowly to about 7.5+ million by the end of the year as word spreads and BF3 takes in a large number of sales for the holiday rush and we hear nothing about Call of Duty because BF3 will be THE game of the year that everybody'll want.
I may be a little hopeful, but it surely is possible after what I've seen with how well that single play...
And after BF3 drops and people start to hear about the next BF game and that gets more attention, Call of Duty Number 109382854 will be lucky to be on par with Battlefield and the shift of power of the #1 FPS (Sales-wise, as gameplay matching would be a severe mismatch as we all know) will be completed.

ETA: I caved, watched it and must say, I really thought DICE would have a great time doing this campaign and taking how to make a great SP from BC/BC2 and putting it in, but they really outdid their selves that first mission. Can't wait to get this game. I'll see everyone on the other side. :D
Can't wait until this is deemed a flop and we don't have to see this stuff every day. I'll be in my grave before I stream anything instead of having an actual game console.
It takes time for one person, but it can be done if somebody got funding to work on it for about ever. Especially with a group of talented people. Like, lets say, the DICE crew. Yes, those guys.

Hey artard, it has 12. Get it right. And that's what the beta was for. I myself loved it, especially after the beta. You play it? You could decide after that. But preordering games isn't dumb, only if you preorder from a unproven company. DICE is the most established game creators in the industry.
Maybe the stupidest thing I've heard today. MW2 is broke to this day still. MW1 is far superior then MW2 in gameplay. But neither can match BF3's scale and vehicles. That's why most people only buy every treyarch game for zombies anyway, that's the only thing of any not-brokenness to it.
