I didn't know the SNES could produce thousands of colors on the screen at once. Look at the monster in blue, it has a gradiant (slow change of color) in him that 16-bit consoles can't do. And it has it in a few other places. Ugh.
Here we go again, more "retro" games that also have thousands of colors not reproducible on any system less then the 5th generation. :/
Yeah, and if you back on COD4 there's the playing there too. (Not really, most suck) Doesn't mean a thing, it still will push your skills to the limits no matter who you play in Battlefield, you need a SQUAD to win, not yourself. Besides, 99% of the players in squad deathmatch are all very good anyway. Play that if something doesn't tickle your fancy.
If you want to learn to play FPS's for real, get Battlefield. Call of Duty isn't learning anything valuable to any real FPS game. They aren't hard at all when you can have 1 person win a game, like I usually do on a consistent basis, and it's not fun either. Go play some Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3, or and other FPS for that matter. Just stay away from COD and you'll develop into a way better play than anybody on Call of Duty.
While I don't agree, the 16-Bit jump was so successful and so well done I can't say the same.I think both are well qualified for the #1 spot, I think picking one is wrong and nearly impossible. I also think Yoshi's Island is a great game too, although I consider it more of a Yoshi game. But it's up there too if you consider it a Mario game.
Although to note: I actually enjoy Paper Mario so much that I'd also call that one of my top Mario games, tied with S...
No matter how many disagrees this gets, you speaketh the truth.
Minecraft is a good indie game compared to most, I don't know what YOU'RE comparing it to. But I also agree it's not one of the top 5, top 10 for creativity for sure though. And I also agree Terraria is a good game and is worth of a #1-#2 spot, it does have a lot more depth to it and great replay ability that steps it up one notch. But MC is also a year old, so I don't know why people are still talking about it as Indie Game of the year. Updates don't count unless it's...
Doesn't matter what they include, all the fans have Black Ops 2-5, MW3-7, and anything else Activision poops out.
^Thank you.
You're talking somebody who has read about SNES/Genesis hardware and is an NES programmer. I know how many they can make, but the SNES and Genny can only put about 256 colors on the screen at one time and also can't do dynamic lighting like this game does. Same with the Genesis, no dynamic lighting and can do up to only 61 colors. That means no gradients at all, although SNES can attempt but only do 15 steps on an 8x8 area to attempt it, and it doesn't look anything like it does i...
Last time somebody titling an article called a game X-bit it was called 8-bit with 16 color characters and about 8 palettes. That's at least 16 bit. Now this says 16-bit but yet the images has hundreds of colors plus the gradients used in so many characters. That's not 16-bit. Please get it right, you're supposed to know something you attempt to write journalism on.
Apparently you were too busy jizzing to miss 25 in the title and the other pages.
But if they're wearing controllers then they're not naked...?
In MW2 is was the grenade launchers or the M4 because even when getting shot you still never had any recoil. And in Black Ops, don't forget the stoner. That was disgusting. So many badly overpowered guns, and they'll never be fixes. MW never needed a patch for rebalancing. Remember the first month on MW2 and those damn dual wielding shotguns? Even now they still go too far. They can't get anything right in the game, it's so done for.
Easter Eggs are 99% inside jokes with no meanings anyway. >.> I don't care if they mean anything or not myself, they're still fun to find and check out.
Haha, developers need to put more easter eggs into all games today for sure.
As an NES developer I am sad how wrong even the NES one is. 2KB of RAM is 2048 bytes, not 49 some thousand. And plus there's also 2KB on the PPU (Video) processor too. There's only 32KB of ROM available at one time for the CPU to read. That's wrong on the chart. There IS 64 sprites, but could only put 8 in a scanline (horizontal line) at a time. 768KB cart size is the biggest licensed size (Kirby). Games started out basically as 24KB but grew to be about 256KB average by the end w...
It's a good solid system. One huge problem is the sound has a constant buzzing. Although the CPU/PPU/SPC all seem great with compatibility. Only game that hasn't been verified to work has been the game SMRPG 2nd print copy. You can tell if you have said cart if the label has an A stamped on the back next the the number that represents the factors the cart was produced at. Otherwise, it's one of the only decent clones for any system out there. It even works with the Super Power Pak...
In BF1942 that was the only thing you thought when you saw a jeep! Especially if you were a tank. It was almost guaranteed that the back seat of it had 4x explosives! Hahaha, I love the Battlefield series. :D
Beat me to it. And in 2013, 2014, ..., 2020, ... and to infinity and beyond! (Not the game quality, the number of releases, lol.)
