Borrow games instead of buying them like a law-abiding citizen, huh?
You're going to jail.
Offensive, huh?
You're going to jail.
Alcohol is technically a drug.
You're going to jail.
Boy, this was kind of random and cheap, no offense to the author.
Besides, there's only one thing you need to know about this game: It's so much fun, it's illegal.
You're going to jail.
Ok, I'll try to respond to everyone as always.
@DragonKnight
Why, thanks.
I agree I'd like to see the original story finished. But I think there was a lot of really awful narration in DMC, that left many threads unanswered. DMC4 for instance, was started on the premis that suddenly you didn't know what was going on, and the other stories that needed telling were forgotten. It'd basically need an MGS4 to tie up all the loose ends, and I'm not sure ...
And I've said the same thing all along, this game is gonna be damn good. Say what you want about the new direction, this game is going to be great.
I think we all know that tomato really is a fruit, and that this is a damn good DMC.
And tomato is not a fruit! I don't care what anyone says, or how delicious it is with pasta. Now, I may have never tried tomato, I've only tried the similar paprika, but I know enough about fruit to know what is and what isn't!
Can't we just reserve judgement? Is it really your opinion that no matter what the other manufacturers dish up you can't beat that line-up? I'd say that line-up has been beaten three generation is a row now, but I'm willing to be convinced that they can win this generation. To be honest, I'd like to see three major new franchises from Nintendo this generation. Three major ones, that they can keep for generations.
There were hardly one on Wii.
@aiBreeze
By all means don't, but then it seems fair to also not make general comments that include the article and the writer.
Who would have known that actually reading articles would involve *gasp* reading? So people will just look at the title and this process plays out in their head:
Title = provocative
Me = easily provoked, therefore provocative = trolling
Me provoked = me upset
Read article = negative, too upset.
Me upset = Me comment
Blame current state on article because:
Writer = Article
Article = Title
= Insult writer based on ...
Not as embarassing as changing your opinion after actually having tried something though. I tried that once. Not for me.
@UnSelf
This I can agree with. With some additional changes it could have very well been a brand new franchise. But since people are generally not willing to try new stuff like, say Enslaved, you'll get this instead. And Far Cry 3. And Black Ops 2. And Final Fantasy XIII-3. And Resident Evil 6.
I personally kind of like that it...
A little obvious maybe? But kind of a neat list. I like the new direction, and I hope we'll get plenty of first generation Pokémon!
9/10?
No fooling?
Boy, I'd say that if I had been insisting up until this point that this game was gonna fail, I'd feel pretty embarassed. Luckily, no one did that.
Ha! You bet! Which is why my comment above is gonna get flagged for trolling.
Then again, I do comment on every DMC review rubbing it in people's faces, so maybe it kind of is. And maybe I should find a hobby for the remaining days of the holidays...
No. Play DMC and trolling is my new schedule.
Another great score?
Oh, my.
Oh please, you've what, played the demo? Have you ever played DMC2? That is an actual mess of a game.
The entire point of the game is that Dante is juvenile. He's a kid in this game, and (SPOLER) the game leaves many strong indicators that he'll grow into a person very similar to the Dante we know from the other games.
What do I like? Cinematic, responsive gameplay. Great combosystem, that is much more accessible than in previous titles, yet with ...
Golly, I wonder if that is because it's the least original comment ever conceived?
I agree with the article that this hybrid isn't all that attractive, but I would like a full-fledged 3D title on Wii U!
Are there any conservative DMC fans here?
If so, could you please mail me a glass containing your tears?
And I'll send you that warm cup of shut the hell up I was speaking about.
Yay Dante! I never thought I'd like this game that much, and shoving it down other people's throat?
Priceless.
Oh, and good review. I more or less agree.
I liked the tips all right, I'm all for saving money :)
But in fairness, telling people they are going to jail is only my thing this week. I initially had to moderate myself after I lost all my bubbles from telling people they were going to hell.
Stealing bubbles from a person like that, can you imagine? Those guys are going to jail.
