The absence of gore is not what makes Uncharted shine. It does, however, suit the narrative and the style of the game. The same goes for The Last of Us and having violence.
I'm hyped for the next NBA game, but I really wish they would leave out the basketball. Or at least give us an option to disable it...
Not entirely comparable, but you get the point.
@rainslacker
So you're saying that most relationships are not with a glittering vampire or a werewolf?
Stupid reality.
I kind of hope he didn't. I mean, as much as I hope that 50 shades and Twillight won't ever influence anything near a Zelda game, I'm sure thinking a little bit outside the box now and then is all right. For some reason, Game Freak keeps firing the guy who shouts "Let's make a 3D open world game!"
I think MS are very likely to announce the 360 on E3. But it's not impossible that Sony will beat them to the punch with PlayStation day.
... To be honest, who the -bleep- knows.

Haha, really? 50 shades of grey popped up in conversation? These guys...
They should read S C Ashen instead. His book his a thousand times better. Literally.
In hidden halls and behind closed doors men speak of confirmation. Or at least so the rumors have told.
Their numbers are wrong, as in not precise. And I'm sure you understand the difference between estimating last week's sales and keeping track of lifetime sales. One of them is done quickly and based on limited, and projected information while the other one can be tracked in completely accurate reports that take ALL SALES INTO CONSIDERATION. With a slight delay in reporting. Can you guess which is which?
And if VGchartz estimations for this week have the same accuracy ...
Nice. More or less agree with the general point, and the choices. Was more tired of Assassin's Creed in Revelations and AC3 than in Brotherhood though. Plus, it introduced the great online mode.
Game grumps!
They're estimates extrapolated from select retail samples. It's a given that they're not 100% correct, and often they're off by quite a bit. But if you look at comparisons to the actual sales number they're rarely far off. Sometimes they are. Most times not.
@Ultr
The only reason people take statements like
"Game x is the best game ever" as a statement of fact, is because they're too willing to be offended by it. Which is one major reason why you're bound to see less outrage if people actually like Game x.
Nor does "Black Ops 2 is the best" = "Black Ops 2 is the best for everyone". The only fair assumption to make is that it's the author's personal opinion, and not a...
I don't really respect his opinion, but bubbling it down is of course wrong.
If GT is gonna keep up their current pace, we won't have the next one this century.
Ah, yes. The ADHD generation.
Well, you can't really run the standard analytical machine on Journey. Because it's not your average video game.
First of all, I don't think it's even worth adressing wether or not the controls are responsive. They are, and that's always good, but it's hardly worth mentioning for an experience of this time. As long as the controllers are not overtly clunky.
It's not even supposed to be fun per se.

The game is good! Get over your dissonance. What you've played is nothing but a small taste, and hi: These reviews are what we're hearing now. Here's actual player feedback: It's good.
Not a bad list. Even though I kind of don't think lists are feature-worthy, and think this should have been a blog. Don't agree with Notch. Sure he's made an impact with updates, re-releases and sales this year he's still last years model. Agree especially much with Thatgamecompany. Austin Winstory could have taken a point of his own.
They haven't been payed off. In fact, no reviewer in the video game industry has ever has been payed off. If there is bribery in this industry, and there probably is, it's a lot more subtle than giving someone money. It's about pressuring the reviewer to give a good review, and blacklisting those who don't.
But take it from someone who've played nearly the entire game, and who obviously isn't payed to write this comment: The game is gonna be great.
I think I got that the first time around. I just don't agree with several points of your first comment. For instance, this isn't the equivelant of inventing nuclear power, as much as it is the equivelant of inventing nuclear arms and making them available to everyone (slightly less dramatic though)
Even if it won't change a thing, you're generally well adviced to have a negative attitude towards things that bring negative consequences.
