This is one weird franchise. Especially the first game is one of the strangest games I've played. Voice acting is mediocre, and the cut-scenes are horrible, but somehow it still absolutely captures you.
Voice acting is very good in the second game, so I hope that's what the review is aiming at.
Definitely agree, but there will always be the people who say that in order to be art it has to be only art. With no focus on entertainment or profit.
Seems like bs to me, given that it's difficult to even determine what is entertainment and what is art. And it is very hard to argue that profit can't at least be a second motivation. I'm sure ThatGameCompany want to make a living, and so does Sony, but that doesn't really change Journey as a beautiful experien...

I know. I was comparing numbers to reject your position that every game Nintendo releases are completely different from the previous one. They are not. The diference between Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time is pretty big, but so is the difference between Uncharted 1 and 2. Ultimately it's the same concept.

Well, they won't. Other than conservative DmC fans and people immediately got thrown away by Dante, reviewers are really gonna like this game. Probably land between 75 and 85 on Metacritic.

Yeah, this could almost have been a list of the best trophies to have in your collection. For starters, I'm pretty sure Play is a gold trophy. Though they say it's silver. Also one of my proudest trophies :3
And if I could choose one trophy I'd take Beat Zico. The really cool thing about it, is that you need to use even tilting perfectly to get it right... or you could just look up different techniques on YouTube. And Late Boomer I also have! And it's awesome!...

I hear you, as you don't save that much money on consoles if you want a full set-up. But to be fair, I've had my 360 since 2007. If I were to pay for a PC in 2007 that was still as relevant as the 360 is today, that would probably have cost me quite the fortune. I partly agree with longer intro sequences. More should have happened before the empress got killed. It was predictable and uninteresting, because she felt like a completely disposable character. If they had spent some time building her personality, maybe it wouldn't. But then again, I'm not sure what they would have had before that.
