Well, you have all the sub-genres, that tie genres together, and all the experimental games that mix elements from several genres to create a new genre. That's innovation, so there's nothing negative about that. Now, the function of genres is little else than labeling product so we more easily can manouver selections of games according to tastes, preferences, etc. and I'd dare say that "puzzler" or "fps" still offers the information it did ten years ago, even t...
Hundreds of fantastic games have mindless stories, but I can't think of anyone that have bad gameplay. Story drives the gameplay, sure, but gameplay is what separates a game from a movie and the number one factor that separates the good from the bad. Now, the story CAN be very important too. Games I probably wouldn't enjoy if they had a bad story include Uncharted 3 and Heavy Rain among others, but also they could have been decent living on the gameplay alone.
I'd go for Skyrim, and since I have Skyrim on my PS3 I'd go for Playstation 3 with a Dualshock 3 and the only TV I have is a that I like Sony Bravia and its high end feature would be resolution. Thank you.
Due to advances in neurology it is now possible to disagree with someone's opinion.
Closed my ass, every farmer and his mom was in that beta. Including yours truly! Ice game though
The announcement of my dreams!
I mean it must be, since I can't remember using a simple waking moment thinking about it.
Looks ice though. And all that.
I doubt it. Not convinced by Remedy yet. But still looking forward to see more.
Ice! Some more polygons never hurt anyone.
Except people who can't see past the polygons of course. But I have no doubt Lightbox won't forget the gameplay. In fact would've payed for the beta if that was the game.
I'm not arguing with you :)
It is possible to be a die hard South Park fan, but still like Family Guy. Just, for further NOTICE(!.!)
All rich people in the US do charity... Just saying. If not the far-liberals and hippies label you as an evil corperation. Hippies are of course not actually consumers anyway, so companies like WalMart take little effect from this.
Anyway, Bill is probably a god guy.
They've made some changes during the beta that I've found immensely satisfying. Call me an idiot though, but I think the graphics could use a good airbrush. Game is great.
I haven't seen this lack of pirate control since I spent three years in Somalia back in the summer of '76... somehow.
Or "Ice"
I certainly agree Notch should go all the way if he wants everyone to play his game. But I think he is being sincere. Can't imageine him as a sleazy PR person, not because he's so righteous, but because he's... not the type. To put it (n)icely
If you've been on the internet before you can't honestly say you find his ignorance overwhelming :P
Shared play history and friend counting feature seems new too.
While I doubt this article is about Exxon, BP and other more typically evil corporations, oil companies have been split up by governments before (as mentioned in the article) and they can be again under the sherman act. If people demand it, they can vote for a President willing to do so. Corporations also need to struggle with each other... and of course they live and die with the market. No market = no sales. Problem is that they sell product to which the demand is unhealthy high.

"we’re still the life of the party in Afghanistan, because our economy depends on it!)"
Didn't know the American economy depended on spending trillions of dollars on and thousands of human lives... sort of thought that's where most of the debt came from.
The rest of the article feels shattered. It's funny and clever at times, but then again I'm not sure if the comparison to communism really works that well as "the evil corperations&qu...
Yay, new package!
