Had I read the article yesterday claiming 1080p I would have been happy, maybe even given a high five of my own. If I had then read this article the next day confirming 900p I probably would have been annoyed.

I'd rather it be a proper timed exclusive then what sony and Activision did with Destiny. So yeah... Go figure.

I'm so glad they didn't release that monstrosity. I know for a fact that rage quitters would be snapping that boomerang in half constantly. Its too tempting.
I have had many creaky controllers over the years due to this, I'd hate to imagine how angry I would be seeing one of those snap in half during a particularly heating online gaming session.
I have to say that is how I felt after using the original xbox small controller.
Ever since that day years ago I couldn't enjoy the dual shock anymore.
Sony way waaaaaay too late to the party in controller innovation. But at least they finally did it. The DS4 is so much better than the old Dualshock designs and easily the best controller they have made thus far.
They have already mentioned partnerships with Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, Unity, NASA, JPL, Trimble, audiokinetic, AUTODESK, Legendary, The Walt Disney Company, Dassault Systemes, and Sketchfab.
Hololens is a commercial and communication tool,
A development and educational tool
AND...
A AR gaming device.
Pretty impressive reach there IMO.

Each option is a totally different experience.
VR to be in a virtual world.
AR to augment your real world.
Totally different to each other, it's not a competition.
Oculus vs. Morpheus, now that is a competition.
Hololens stands on it's own for now, or until we see something tangible from Magic Leap.
