Xbox has been strong for a while now. Spencer has steered the ship away from troubled waters and gamers who own an Xbox 1 are mostly very happy with their purchase.

It's an indie game. We have seen what it's about.
it's not a AAA but it is an amazing Indie title.
If sony put AAA hype behind it, many are going to be oversold on this game.

Hopefully they are doing the opposite of what everyone else has done in recent times.
Show a fairly good build of the engine but don't oversell too soon. So that there are no arguments later with claims to downgrades!!!

Oculus mentioned that they may go with console support, that could shake things up a little but more than likely sony wont want them on their platform (a la EA Access).
It's by no means destined to fail, Morpheus will be the best option for PlayStation for sure. Oculus may be the VR solution for Xbox. Interesting times ahead.
Sooner it drops off the radar the better.

Halo is one of those 'system sellers' that people keep talking about.
I think that MS would want to push through as many X1's as possible over the holiday period with the chief leading the charge.
It would be a poor business decision for the Xbox to launch Halo 5 on PC at the same time.

The sad thing now is that any politician, media outlet, religious organization etc. will be able to reference this game as proof positive that games lead to........ (fill in the blank) for any type of violent act carried out by people that fit into the gaming demographic.
