Yeah I think it's a fair deal either way -- the anime costs $30 on its own, and in contrast, having a hard copy artbook is a lot better than a digital one.
The anime isn't cancelled, it had a 12 ep run, and right now there is speculation of a possible new season. So far ADV has dubbed and released on DVD just this volume 1 in the US.

You get a steelbook case but as you can see, this European edition has a hardcopy artbook and not the anime. This is likely because ADV's release is only in the US region thus far. Remember for the US version it's just the first volume (4 eps) anyway, so you'd either have to download fansubs or wait on the rest to be released in either case.

In case anyone was a little uncertain, this isn't the US collector's edition, which comes with a metal tin case, the anime and a bonus disk with a digital artbook/soundtrack samples.
This is likely the PAL version, which comes with a hard copy artbook and not the ADV Vol. 1 anime release.

Normal, Hard, Very Hard, MN? I guess Ninja Dog will just be considered a spin off of Normal (as it was before). I hope you can immediately choose MN this time, it's really time consuming to beat the game 3 times before being able to choose it (as it was like this in NGB and NGS).

I got my White DS3 from Yes Asia, I would recommend them as they shipped fast.
It looks and feels great, I tested the Uncharted demo and my copy of MGS3 Subsistence with it. The rumble is more varied than I recall rumble being with last gen games, and I'm curious to see how MGS4's directional rumble will work.

I've noticed occasional slowdowns/choppiness in the XMB and whatnot, but I've noticed this since I first got my PS3 and installed whatever firmware was available at the time. I've noticed it in games too (not referring to framerate, rather random choppiness in menus and stuff. No idea why it happens, but it's not a serious issue for me. Of course I'd rather not have these issues at all.
Snake is an English word, so he's the one saying it incorrectly (romaji: "Suneku"). Gaiden is a Japanese word, however.
I've always said Guy-den; watching as much anime as I have, I see the pronunciation difference in the Japanese "Ai" and "Ei." If the game was "Ninja Geiden," then it would be pronounced "Gay-den."
Nothing in here was a "revelation" for me. These are either common knowledge items for anyone who follows the series, or things made completely obvious in the MGS4 trailers to this point.

I use it for Warhawk and think it works greatly. In Resistance, the Y Axis is actually slower than the X Axis, which is something the game does not allow you to adjust, so it does stutter a little bit. If you adjust it correctly it works alright, but I found it far more useful in Warhawk. Definitely a learning curve even for PC gamers though, since it's not as sensitive as a PC mouse, but nonetheless useful. In Warhawk best settings are 90% in game and 4 on the mouse.
